The original and VIP versions set the foundation at 92 bpm, while Cavedweller’s remix adds a dark sub‑bass layer that changes the mood without touching the tempo. Juliano Gomez and Oondza pick up the pace slightly, delivering groovy slow‑techno renditions. Alacrán del Amor and Fernn go even further, turning the track into slow‑techno bangers with their signature bouncy touches. vietzen closes the EP with a progressive house remix that builds tension and plays creatively with the original elements.

[Behind The Track]

Welcome to the forty-forth release of Launch Records. This time we got a new track by Yves Labordus called ‘Santorini’.

The song starts immediately with chords together with background sounds. Then you hear a short melody. After this melody the same chords and background sounds are playing but this time with a vocal. After a while, more and more sounds are added to give more atmosphere to the track. Then after a while, the build-up starts. In the build-up, the rhythm of the drum loop is getting faster. Hereby the chords and the background sounds are the same as at the start of the track.

When the drop hits, the track is transforming into a powerful summer track with 3 different parts in the drop. These 3 different drops have all different sounds, melodies, and rhythms. Besides the different sounds, melodies, and rhythms the drop remains one entity. All these different drops give a really special vibe to the track. This is the signature style of Yves Labordus. On top of that, all sounds are self-designed.

All these aspects which are used in the track make the track a real Launch release. We are very happy to have a second release together with Yves Labordus after ‘Show You’ which reached over 100.000 streams on Spotify. Keep an eye on Yves Labordus because this is just the start of him.
