This set for me is a journey that needed to be expressed not only through music, but words and a visual representation... So, I'm deliberately late this month! Burning Man, the annual transformational 'Universe' just past by last week.. and it was a dream come true for me to not just immerse myself into the experience but also to play what was meant to be a 2 hour set - that turned into a 6 hour journey... Debuting my soon to be released remix on Windhorse Records with shamanic healers, yogis, dancers and lovers that kept me company on the night of the 28th on the playa, at Black Rock City, Nevada. It was MAGIC & i wanted to share that magic with you... So pardon me for skipping the past 21! Im sure you wont regret it!

Still burning from Playa love.... :) :) :) It's already been 2 weeks since the Burn... & yet I pause. Take a deep breath and close my eyes and i still feel like I'm there... In the summer of 2015 i was invited to my first ever residential artist residency at a magical place called '42 Acres' in Somerset, England.

In autumn of 2014 Berklee College of Music honored Mr. A.R. Rahman with an honorary doctorate for his extraordinary achievement in field of music for film. It was the commencement of their new program 'Berklee India Exchange'.

As an alumni of the college and a graduate of the film scoring major myself it was an honor to bring in some electronic vibes to the already amazing original from the Bollywood film Delhi 6.

The soundscape titled Hanami - Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō is an integration of subtle elements sourced from ancient and modern technologies within the foundational drone frequency of 444 Hz and the lotus sutra chant, Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, of Nichiren Buddhism.

444 Hz explores the possibility of using energy, frequency and vibrational medicine in support of resonance principles to affect emotional states and change DNA. Together, with the Buddhist chant of surrendering to mystic laws transmitted by Gauri Chopra, this piece aims to pillar the listeners receptivity of empowerment and transformation in universal sound.  Hanami - Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō embodies the Japanese tradition of experiencing the beauty of flowers. This sensation is an essential reference point of impermanence; a peaceful contemplation on the transience of Life. 

*This sound work invites all to set an intention, burn incense, light a candle, recline and deeply listen with headphones or a spatial sound system in order for full effect to take shape.*

Hanami - Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō is the first release from Alchemic Electronica; a sub-genre of electronic music marked by the convergence of sonic alchemy, neuroscience and microbiology. It is a space of experimentation while encompassing scientific research that affirms the medicinal properties of sound and music. Alchemic Electronica, founded by Satya Hinduja, is a platform which employs a vast range of instrumentation: complex harmonic overtones, vocals and electronic landscapes while using principles of psychoacoustics with emerging recording and spatial audio technologies.

It connects base frequencies to specific sets of tunings and practices the rule of the octave to simulate quantization of the audible sound range in the electromagnetic spectrum; where spirit, mathematics and music coalesce.

Through systematic applications of this rule and it’s periodic phenomena, the relationship between planetary vibrations and structures of atoms and molecules are felt. Alchemic Electronica considers naturally occurring sensations such as the orbit of planets, weather conditions, colour symbology, rhythms, tones, architectural works, the human body and universal mathematical ratios with an integrated approach. The primal sounds emitted within this foundation aim to unite expressions within states of meditation, beauty and science.

s a t y a, born Satya Hinduja is a composer, sound artist, producer and DJ working with a range of musical instruments, voice, field recordings and alternate tunings for spatial sound environments.

Satya’s artistic practice embodies the synthesis of multiple trajectories: scoring for films and mixed-media installations and production, remixing and DJing (as Sound Underground). It was during this journey she discovered the interconnectivity between Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Kinesiology, Quantum Theory and Vedic philosophy.

This path has evolved into her current project as founder of Alchemic Sonic Environment [ASE], a multisensory deep listening experience designed to invoke states of reflection, receptivity and exchange.

Merging her mother cultures' origin of meditative sound with the art of music, ASE is steadily evolving into a research and education platform exploring the nature of health as a process.
