Czech producer Dryman returns to the label for the first time since his debut in 2019, this time enlisting fellow Eastern European and Hungarian producer Sirmo on a collab for a Bass House stomper with an infamous Prez T sample - ‘Famous Bits’

Dryman commonly known in his native Czech Republic as one of the leading promoters, DJs, producers and remixers has played a host of shows across Europe in recent years, having been on the circuit since 1999. Performing with the likes of DJ EZ, Disclosure, Skream, Benga, Newham Generals, Preditah, Marcus Nasty, Joker, Jamie Duggan, Youngsta and Champion over the years just to name a few, its lead him to work and release with some highly reputable artists past and present from Flirta D, Scrufizzer, Slick Don and Milli Major to Bru-C, Deadbeat and the legendary Smack One.  He has been a mainstay in the scene creating beats with influences heavily rooted Garage, D&B, Grime, Bass House and the overall underground bass spectrum for over two decades. In that time he’s done remix work for major labels such as Warner Music to releasing original productions with underground and electronic label heavyweights such as Hot Cakes, Top Billin, Nasty Bro’s and of course 1Forty we knew he was well overdue a second appearance.

Sirmo, Hailing from Pécs in the south of Hungary, had a bunch of different influences growing up from Drum & Bass, Breaks, Hip Hop, Grime & Baseline.

Out of this mixture comes his layered, Bassline-heavy style that intertwined with the sounds coming out of the UK and the US. Since he started producing in 2007, he’s built himself quite a significant number of supporters including Kissy Sell Out, My Nu Leng, The Artful Dodger, Flava D, DJ Q and Marcus Nasty.

Tight drums and intricate bass work is what Sirmo hones in on in his Bass House productions which is on show for all to hear on ‘Famous Bits’.

Following on from the success of KXVU's 'The Cave' EP, specifically that of the super well-received collaboration with Razor entitled 'Victim', we felt it was time to open 'Introducing' up to a number of new remix projects, the first of which sees us introduced to the dark and dingey futuristic sounds of On1. He gets busy here revamping Razor's sharp vocal presence into a moody garage roller, refixing KXVU's Asian string plucks into the composition with a new lease of life, putting a wicked new spin on one of our favourite vocal drops this year.
