This will be the first official collaboration as a duo even though they have DJed together for many years since meeting at a university party in the Netherlands in 2017. “We both went to the same school and connected for the first time playing for a student house party. The bond was instant, and we stayed friends ever since.” Adds Vander. “There were no “underground” parties in the city we were living in, so we created the Delft Underground Movement, the only electronic music event there.

In 2020 we decided that it was time for us to properly work on an EP. We worked on multiple tracks and combined these three for our first release. This EP is the result of a beautiful 4-year friendship, filled with endless support and growth.” The enigmatic Dominican’s sound blurs the lines between Afro-Latin, Synthwave and dark Disco with blissful ease. Vander’s spirit is unapologetically authentic. Equally, Saudade’s exotic heritage - born in India and living now in Belgium - has exposed him to a wide sonic palette such that he cites cinematic and classical music luminaries Ludovico Einaudi, Max Richter, Jóhann Jóhannsson and Sultan Khan among his influences. A deeply introspective soul, his life’s journey is to find his place in the universe through his music. Hypnotic and melancholy.

Opening with ‘Binha’ those afro rhythms Vander loves are front and center playfully intermixed with floaty sonics and summery piano. A real treat for the ears. On ‘Freedom’ snappy percussion and a broken beat create an electro vibe Detroit would be proud of. Melodics add a touch of class and a real cinematic feel. Finally, going back to the roots of electronic music, ‘Binha’ gets a ‘90s rave makeover complete with soaring pads, Amen break and an overall feeling of joy and hopefulness. They tell us this is the start of something special, and on this evidence, we can’t wait to hear more!

Today we have released a charity VA, through Musique Concrète with all funds being donated to a 'Come Back Alive' - a Ukrainian Charity providing funds to the Ukrainian armed forces (https://www.comebackalive.in.ua/) 

Music is our form of healing, expression and dreaming. It is our language - and therefore it seems essential that we use this language for positive change. 

If everybody can donate just a small amount to a fund or charity we can truly make a positive difference to many peoples lives.

Hey there,

So this one is really close to my heart and is representative of a state of lucid sleep I have been all this week. Every track, every transition brings about a chill down my spine reminding me of a few blissful moments I have had recently. It's amazing how some of the most beautiful moments of my existence were while dancing in a club two floors below the ground with my eyes closed. This is what it means to me and this is what I ache to make you feel....this feeling. This is what drives me and makes me love what I do even more. Isn't this what dreams are made of? 

Veni, Vidi, Amavi is the Latin translation for 'I came, I saw, I loved'. :)

Dear dreamers,

Autumn 2016, when I first moved to the Netherlands one of my first and foremost memories is a club night in Toffler, Rotterdam. With no experience with deep house or techno, I walked in and had an unforgettable night. Since then, this club has been a temple exposing me to great artists and music. I owe a large part of my musical inspiration to Toffler. 

This mix is my submission for the Toffler Talents 2018 and I hope my dream comes true.

Every kick, snare, drum, percussion, bass hit is straight from my heart. Every transition brings about a feeling of unadulterated joy, bliss to my soul. I feel blessed to have found such amazing artworks and hope to transmit this discovery of mine through this mix. Hope we are together on this one.
