SOLARIS is a curatorial entity, bridging the gap to all that can give it substance, from spiritual Jazz to dub techno, from hip-hop to electronica,  she’s taking lights everywhere they are. The main idea there is to create a genuine entity and a new gateway to today's best, sharing the latest releases that enter its fold, bridging the essential and yesterday's forgotten pieces, as exploring a large spectrum of genres and currents, all of which in one way or another fall within its field of attractions, who are all parts of this cosmic essence. From Now, she’s taken to life through  mixes and playlists curation, always turned in the same way to introduce new music and let fresh poetries, without specific release date, on a regular scale. 

Let's introduce it into the first episode, who, in these 3 parts of 1 hour each, conceived as a logical evolution, provide a perfect introduction to the universe and the Solaris global groove, from ambiant - new age - jazz, folk, spiritual and introspective soundscapes, to more oriented dancefloor riddims, that take us in dub, electronica, house, balearic or more psychedelic beats , crossed by electronic music, organic grooves in all ways. always in a deep groove....In All Cases! So there is the second part of these last 3 months essentials picks in an 1hr mix, giving a perfect corpus of what i deeply dug recently with a most part of new releases, fresh projects. To introduce fews of them, you will find for exemple the last Knopha on Mule Musiq, the new & One of the most important on this mix/selection - the last African Head Charge; full of various experimentations of psychedelisms, based on a true common sense of African Roots, super groovy and cosmic and clearly made for the dancefloor./General Rubbish & his mythical "Bonnie & Clyde anthem) from the last awaited project of Galliano on Bronswood, two pieces from "Club Salon Théatre" the last and brilliant project of Androo, the Swiss based producer on Music From Memory which followed me deeply this summer; for me a perfect album which combines all i'm looking for in music, eclectic, full of singularity and musically super rich. Also equally rich,the last project from the Ugandian star Ekuka Morris Sirikiti, recorded on the Villa Nyege this summer, released on the five star & eponym label/promoter NyegeNyege/ One of My favs Also, the Mad Professor remix of E2-E4, the last and brilliant Kirk Degiorgio who offer us as aslways a true vision of Future Jazz, Broken Beat with Class and Singularity. I'm Also thinking about "Cascade" the last project from Floating POints; An Essential of these past 3 months too, The last Emanative With "Messimalism" as always Deeply Spiritual, electronically Strong....The reissue of "Simple Reality" by Skeet on Efficient Space, a magical romantic ballad, on a pure "DIY" spirit, infused in a true post-punk way.Big Big Tip!  & More to discover but this one is for the Roots!

The Comet Is Coming are our guests in Hour 2 and to celebrate the release of their debut album Channel The Spirits on The Leaf Label, King Shabaka, aka Shabaka Hutchings (also of Sons Of Kemet and Melt Yourself Down) drops his first mixtape with a quality selection of music personal to him. He had this to say about his mix;

"I've never done a mixtape before so when asked to do this I immediately though back to my favourite DJs and what their selections did for me. I love it when I hear massive leaps in genre during a set which seem to make sense despite all the odds and retain a trajectory of intensity. Immediately I think of Gaslamp Killer who I toured with last year and was able to see him do his thing up close, and Ntone Edjabe who is a DJ extraordinaire based in Cape Town. These are all tunes that have meant a lot to me at various points in my life so it's interesting for me to see the narrative which connects them."
