After a brief pause Savage Session return in the new season with a fresh perspective and more explorations in plan. Our guest for this session has been specially appointed to give you a dose of things to come in this new season.

With an emphasis on heavy grooves and driving rhythms, Connor aims to bring people together and to maximise the dance floor experience. 
His work behind the controls and in the studio, has lent him opportunities to work with Melbourne labels, such as 'All Sorts' and a new release via Melbourne/European based label 'Connection Verified'.

He frequently plays for Bunker and Doppler at prime Techno establishments in the city and has a good following for his unforgiving 140+ bpm sets that usually takes the audience into the early morning hours.

His mix for Savage Sessions takes us through 1hr of proper unadulterated Techno and we're sure you'll enjoy as much as we did listening to his submission.

Laima Adelaide @amlia is a Latvian-Australian producer based in Stuttgart. She is currently pursuing classical music composition in Riga after completing her sound engineering degree. She drives her inspiration from nature and very passionate in contemporary classical music. She brings this to life in all its glory in her music production experimenting with textures and atmospheres, searching for borderline between monotony and hypnotic rhythms and melodies. She has released music with renowned labels such as Phonotropismi, DNC Limited and Annulled Music.

In her music we are truly witnessing an artist rising to greater heights. We are really glad to have her curation on our series bringing a fresh perspective driven by very unique inspirations.

TVS is a Flutist, Composer and Performer. After a classical music education, she started to work with contemporary music, interaction with electronic music, instrumental improvisation, creation of sound environments for literary readings, soundtracks and projects involving interaction between various disciplines of art.

Her music combines experimental, atmospheric and synthetic sounds in a Dark Ambient sonority with touches of Deep Techno. She has released tracks on renowned labels such as The Gods Planet, Secuencias Temporales, Virescence Records, No Way Records, Oslated and more.

Artjom Schmidt ( @artjom_schmidt ), DJ & producer from Augsburg, Germany, has discovered his enthusiasm for electronic music already 12 years ago. While first being more into Deep House / Micro House and Minimal Music, he slowly developed his passion & love for deep Techno music, Ambient & IDM. With his friend Till Hennig he organized a few Techno event series in Augsburg at Ideal Club, the famous Schwarzes Schaf and City Club, where they invited numerous DJs & Live acts from around the globe. In his DJ sets he blends Ambient & Techno to achieve a unique hypnotic, spacey & dreamy atmosphere.

Adelia is a techno artist based in Prague where she runs a lot of her own events. She has also been invited for many gigs in Slovakia amongst other regions. Currently residing in Spain, she has also been involved in video streaming SubRadio Barcelona. During the pandemic last year, Adelia turned her focus on her mixes and channeled her passion by contributing to renowned podcasts such as Oslated, Fur:ther Sessions, Prior Act, Bahn Barcelona, KVLTÖ and many more. Her mixes have impeccable track selection and a signature ebb and flow which sweeps you off right from the start.

Cat House Radio | 16 | presents Apsarah with a dark, deep and hypnotizing techno mix. Her creative passion for music in her youth, inspired by the thriving techno scene in Germany. Exploring the depths of sounds created a way of expressing herself. Carefully curating each of her sets, she delivers diverse and captivating journeys.

Apsarah came across the music scene in Australia and soon found herself a spot in Melbourne. While Apsarah played at most clubs in and around Melbourne, playing outdoors and being able to connect music with nature has always been her favorite. Being part of the collective Savage Art Productions, she has contributed to festivals like Burning Seed and Burning Man. Diving deep into the abyss of music, she has also started her journey into music production.

Cobahn is a Korean DJ, and started her musical journey as part of Seoul’s deep spiritual techno scene. She recently moved to Amsterdam to keep exploring and broaden her horizons. Her music is influenced by Oriental philosophies and awe-inspiring Mother Nature. She combines deep and experimental styles, which are blended into authentic soundscapes. She formerly played at the club vurt in Seoul, was a member of the odd, mysterious experimental techno party Ya-cha, and performed with the likes of Svreca, Joachim Spieth, Blazej Malinowski, Patrick Russell, Ron Morelli, Al Burro, Iori, Objekt, Ben Buitendijk and many more. And she was recently announced in the artist lineup of Mostra 2022, an avant-garde and experimental electronic music festival in Barcelona. She is currently focused on all kinds of deep music filled with organic, hypnotic and avant-garde touches.

Henrii Havaas is an artist from Oslo that finds inspiration in natural elements and in the mysterious parts of human existence. She is by heart a musical storyteller and likes to express herself through captivating sounds.

She has been DJing since 2017 and plays at underground parties in Norway and festivals around Europe such as Andra Værlden and Ozora.  Her sound is driven by hypnotic, deep, and organic electronic and ambient music. She doesn't like to follow specific musical categories – but rather has her intention on the emotions of the music being shared with her audience and listeners.

Savage Sessions celebrates 3rd anniversary starts with a special mix by Odd Hills!

Odd Hills, a Lithuanian born, London based techno DJ, co-founder of Temple.Recordings and event series Temple.Invites. He also manages podcasts series called Temple.Prayer.

His love for electronic music began from a young age, but it wasn’t until he emigrated to the UK that he identified his true sound and style. Incorporating hypnotic, dark and melodic elements with experimental sounds, his unique style truly takes listeners on a mesmerising journey. His hard work and dedication to the scene has led him to play across a range of clubs in London, as well as in Glasgow and Vilnius.

The lack of physical events across the past few years has led to increased focus on the Temple.Prayer podcast series, which features a broad spectrum of techno styles, allowing up and coming DJs a chance to showcase their work, alongside international heavy-hitters.

Over the years Apsarah has shaped her own unique style of dark and hypnotizing sounds. Bringing a strong European influence into her sets, she creates diverse and captivating journeys that often leave the dance floor yearning for more. 

Leaving the comfort of her home in Germany has evolved into a life changing adventure and exploration of all things creative. Soon enough she fell in love with Melbourne - which she calls her home today. Being not only a key member of Melbourne based art collective Savage Art Productions which allows her to expand her creative purpose not only in music but all things arts, but 2022 has also seen her launch her own 'Anomalie Collective' brand as a way to showcase the European sound she represents in Australia.

Moreno Mariotti (aka Dorian Gray)Italian DJ / Producer has been active for years in the techno and hypnotic-techno scene releasing on almost all the labels of the genre performing at legendary clubs such as Tresor and About Blank in Berlin, various other premier European clubs and been on multiple Asian and American tours. He is the founder of Music Label 'Dorian' with which he tries to bring the classic hypnotic sound out of its dogmatic borders on a more trancey territory as an evolution of the same state of trance that music induces. This mix represents exactly that concept.

Christian Scalas aka Kryss Hypnowave, was born in 1973 in Sardinia. He fell in love with music at the age of 15 years, starting to frequent a local radio station. The first gigs followed with residencies at K2 club and the Sueno de Ibiza club for 3 years. Very soon he entered the Sound of Mix roaster, which led him to play in many European events such as Goliath, Infinity, Dreamland, Lake & Street Parade and many other premier European clubs. Slowly his sound changed and his liking inclined towards deep, hypnotic and dark techno - never too fast, with a deep groove and of course mesmerising atmospheres. Kryss Hypnowave is a very active producer with multiple releases between vinyl and digital releases on Planet Rhythm, Edit Select, Seance, Subsist, Att series, No way, Black, Circular Limited, Traumshallplatten, with special remixes by Claudio PRC, Edit Select, Akob and many more.

Kryss Hypnowave also carries on his very personal ambient project under his real name ‘Christian Scalas’, with 2 albums released on Japanese Anay and Monobass project with his friend DJ Datch. Sound is his work, a mixing and mastering engineer by profession, he also teaches the art of sound synthesis and design.

~SAVAGE SESSIONS 4th ANNIVERSARY~

MTRL (Material) is an art project by Audio Engineer and Sound designer Lukas Weinlein, who has always been fascinated with soundscapes to which he could relate to emotionally.

Playing various instruments for years, he started experimenting with different sounds at a young age, tapping into many different styles of music.
This insightful journey shaped his current understanding of music and ultimately led him to the endless possibilities of hypnotic electronic music, inspired by the infinite cosmos and organic voices of nature. Having bonded with a multitude of great artists helped to refine his style and created a sphere of inspiration around him. His deep, experimental - and sometimes dark sounds- resonate with the audience and invites them on a trip to remember.

The name for this specific art project was chosen because the definition of the word material, the matter from which a thing is or can be made, fits the purpose of the project very good. So the aim of MTRL is to create an audiovisual experience from existing or non-existing matter for open-minded brains.

Savage Sessions 4th Anniversary | 58 | MTRL [Austria / Germany]

Shelley, from Bielefeld, Germany, turned her passion for electronic music into a profession in 2019. Electronic sounds have accompanied her since childhood, and she found inspiration in the local club scene. Through long nights and countless sonic journeys, she discovered the fascination of DJing and decided to use her listening experience to create her own sets.

Driven by hypnotic and impulsive rhythms, combined with dark and dissociative atmospheres she developed through the years her own style. Today, with precise attention to detail and a very delicate touch.

It didn't take long for her style to be recognized, and she was able to create impressive sets. Also Eric Cloutier invited her to play her first gig at Tresor in Berlin where she could prove her skills in front of a decent crowd. Shelley is sure to continue creating influential sets and mesmerizing audiences.

@ancestrallandscapes AKA SAAM. (Salvo Pizzuto) is a DJ producer born in the Italian peninsula, who has always had a passion for deeper electronic music, clubbing and listening to his favorite DJs over time have shaped his tastes to the point that it is. currently. Salvo started DJing around 2017 at various underground parties in his hometown and is one of the very few DJs in Sicily to promote deep / experimental techno. His inspirations come from the wonderful nature that surrounds him and from mysticism. Its sound is based on dark and ambient repercussions and modulations.

Salvo is constantly growing, always looking for new hypnotic and atmospheric sounds that can lead the listener on a mental journey by recreating soundscapes.

For the 62nd journey on Savage, we introduce a fresh local talent from Melbourne - C:NXR!

Born in Bradford (UK), C:NXR moved to Australia in 2004. He was into electronic music from a very early age and delved into the world of Techno by 2019. Picking up production skills on the way, C:NXR drew his inspiration from heavier sounds of metal music and crafted it with his new found liking of deeper, ambient and atmospheric sounds.

We first took notice of him with his immaculate mix on Node podcast and were delighted to know that we had a fresh talent amongst us in Victoria. His love for Techno was very evident in his narrative mixes.

C:NXR also runs his own label/series called Ørphisrā where he intends to release new music and showcase talents across the world. Currently he is in preparation to release his first track ‘Mirrored Memories’ on Ørphisrā and we can’t wait to see what he has in store for future. The track that releases mid March is mastered by the legendary Mickey Nox Studio.

Torü Szafar [ @toruszafar ] is an Australian DJ and producer renowned for his ability to merge deep grooves that sway the hips with morphing layers that bend the mind.

With over 7 years of experience in the industry, Torü has graced the stages of Naarm/Melbourne's vibrant club nights and festivals (also formerly as part of duo - fütwerk), supporting top artists with his hypnotic rhythms and ethereal melodies. Now based near Byron Bay, Torü is already making waves in the area being booked for various local festivals and club-shows. He is motivated to continue infusing the coastal scene with quality sounds and his unique blend of frequencies.

Inspired by his natural surroundings, Torü's music reflects the beauty and energy of the Australian landscape. His recent venture, Zanda Rec, a record label and event series, promises to champion emerging talent and push the boundaries of electronic music further, reflecting Torü's unwavering commitment to innovation and sonic exploration.

Following up his debut solo release last year on Portuguese label @frequencia-introspectiva, Torü's next release sees him releasing another single on a compilation for another Portuguese label, @atmos_lab. This tribal, deep hypnotic techno groover will be out in the next month!

Currently he is in the studio finishing up the debut release for his own imprint, Zanda Rec. This is set to be a 6 track EP, with 4 originals and 2 remixes.

In the events space, after a successful launch party for Zanda in Feb this year, Torü has just launched his next event which is a collaboration with friend and fellow DJ/Producer Davi Bangma. This will be taking place on Saturday May 11 in the hinterland of Byron Bay and feature Davi and Torü on the lineup!

Playing violin since the age of four and later on majoring in both acousmatic music composition and sound engineering, Pattrn’s precision is the fruit of a lifelong dedication to music of all forms, from creation in itself or through his implications in Brussels’ scene.

Beyond the years of technical know-how and self improvement in production, DJing, and live sets,  Brice Deloose aka Pattrn has been an active member of the local scene for quite some time. Cocreator of FTRSND, Brussels By Night Federation, Initiate, as well as having been the artistic director of Fuse club, Pattrn has spent much of his time promoting local artists and collectives to push forward Brussels' underground.

Having shared the decks with the likes of Luke Slater, Luigi Tozzi, Claudio PRC, Kangding Ray, Svreca, and many more, Pattrn uses his sets to impose his world of seamless hypnotic music to lure passionates for always one last dance.

Savage Sessions ~ 5th Anniversary ~ Inaugural Mix by Kontinum

Initially inspired by the sub-cultural scene of his hometown of Lübeck, the young artist was strongly influenced by the predominant sound of the Leipzig techno scene. Especially the infamous Institut fuer Zukunft and its hypnotic and dissociative sound significantly formed his distinctive style and quickly paved his way into the local scene.

In 2017 then, he co-founded the project Nebula and after organising their first raves the collective quickly found its way into Leipzig's club scene and managed to establish its own event series at Institut fuer Zukunft.

In addition to managing most of Nebula's musical and organisational affairs, he continues to steadily enhance his own remarkable sound which can already be listened to on his recent releases on labels such as Circular Limited, Oslated or Lowless.

Hydrous is Per Christian Berg. A producer and DJ based in Oslo, Norway. Working within music as a sound technician/producer as well as having a number of musical projects across a wide range of styles and expressions, ranging from ambient and psychedelic rock to psy-chill and techno.
With his project Hydrous the focus and style is rooted in the hypnotic, psychedelic and atmospheric side of techno. Drawing a big part of his inspiration from nature, especially the nordic scenery, as well as meditative states. Bringing these threads of inspiration throughout his productions as well as DJ sets.

Recently released his third EP “Mutabor” on Charybdis as well as working with and releasing on labels such as Navigare Audio, Indefinite Pitch, Lotus Parable and Soria Records

Chuha hails from the south of Munich and has been on a journey of musical exploration since 1998. He kicked off his career as a DJ in 2004 playing at countless gigs in and around Europe and India. His initial years in the Psytrance genre lead him to his love for deep, hypnotic, subtle and euphoric nuances of Techno. He is also the founder of Fur:ther Sessions pushing boundaries of Techno supporting local and international artists. Chuha is also a resident of the Netzwerk rooster from Munich.

Tom Szabo & Brayden Warburton are no strangers to the scene. If you have attended any gigs they played at or even listened to one of their many mixes, you’d quickly notice an immaculate level of curation. Their journeys are laid out on an aural canvas that spans across niche genres and speaks to everyone in the crowd alike. Stepping in and out of deep, hypnotic realms of techno and weaving with popping electronica, fütwerk never fail to deliver. They have supported headliners like Deepbass, Etapp Kyle, Matrixxman and are well known in the Australian music festival circuit. While the world had slowed down around us in the past couple of months, fütwerk focused on their production projects and we can’t wait to see what is in store!

Savage Sessions is elated to feature ~ SAVE YOUR ATOLL ~ @saveyouratollofficial

Based out of the beautiful island of Sardinia (Italy), Antonello Meloni has been a pivotal figure in bringing ethereal sound design into sub-genres of Techno.  His contribution in the scene started with his involvement in ‘Spacedrome’, a collective that he co-founded. Under this collective several EPs were released which following the success took the collective international festivals and many prestigious clubs based in Berlin and around Europe.

Following the accumulated life experiences have led to a new artistic reflection and this ‘Save Your Atoll, was born!

Deeper sound synthesis and subtle scapes of Techno are his new language that is the foundation for a musical expression rich in ambient and atmospheric elements that outline the storytelling. After the first year dedicated to presentations and to the recording of dozens of podcasts in 2020, Save Your Atoll began to release its own productions, first with a single with strong influences "Burial" then contributing to the compilation for the 10 years of ‘The Gods Planet’ with Mediterranea on TGP X and finally publishing in January 2021 ‘The Universal Pattern’, an Ep. of three self-produced tracks. Several more releases are planned for 2021 taking the project to new heights and providing the listeners with top quality.

His mix for Savage Sessions is a stellar composition of music that truly defines his expression, portrays his experience and presents a bouquet of sounds that clearly gives you the artist’s vision through his project. The tracks picked for this mix truly glue in to create a life of its own.
