As the genre of drum & bass surges once again into arguably its strongest form ever, SAVAGE (Anthony Torres) finds himself at the front of the grid. With a slew of original works and remixes bursting out of the pipeline from 2021 onward, SAVAGE has fused his technical knowledge and artistic skill into one cohesive onslaught of dancefloor domination.

That knowledge and skill arose from a love for drum & bass, as well as experience in a wide breadth of styles. At the age of 17, SAVAGE made his first foray into music production, with a focus on hip-hop during a rather rough period in his life. After witnessing the raw power of Hollywood’s bustling club scene circa 2008, with his cousin at the helm and rocking the decks to packed houses, SAVAGE immediately fell under the spell of electronic music. Since then, he has darted through various genres and aliases, including house and trap under the Baewatch and DIV/IDE monikers.

Shifting focus toward drum & bass, however, was a turning point for SAVAGE. The culmination of his undying love for the genre and vast production repertoire earned him his place onstage supporting the likes of genre titans Wilkinson, Black Sun Empire, and Culture Shock. He continues to rise through the ranks of Denver’s newly invigorated drum & bass scene alongside city stalwarts Fury and Saltee, while maintaining a similar passion for cars as a massive gearhead.

SAVAGE ventures into 2023 mirroring that passion, approaching the year much like a sprint race. It’s full throttle for the talented producer, as he gears up for more new original works to build on the roaring sound he’s cultivated with dancefloor weapons “Move With Me,” “Hit ‘Em,” and “I’ll Be There.” Showing no signs of slowing down any time soon, SAVAGE is blazing his way to the forefront of drum & bass. Buckle up for the ride.
