After my brother had a run in with an ex-boyfriend's dad he naturally told me all about. Instead of it filling me with gut wrenching panic and fear, it actually made me realise that enough time had passed to now see the positives in the hurtful endings that come during our youth so frequently. Whether that be friendships, family members or even a fat cat named Obi, i was now able to reflect without that hideous pain of loss lurking in the background. This song reminds me of the broken backyard in the home I grew up in and all of the people  (and pets)who i sat with underneath the stars in the suburbs.

The song idea itself, stemmed from the desperate desire to run away from small towns, jobs, and familiarity, and instead create a new, fun vibrant life full of new possibilities in an entirely new city. With the stunning vocals and lyrical talent that Savanna Kate brings, she still credits the songs vibrancy to Tevlos production. In the studio, the song came together almost instantly, to create a fun, beautiful song that perfectly encapsulated the deep desire to run away.
