Regret is about the fear that comes with starting a new relationship & those initial feelings of falling for someone, after being completely heartbroken. This songs acts as a letter to whoever I date next, basically admitting that I have baggage & trust issues that I most likely will bring into the relationship. It’s a reminder that I’m not perfect & maybe it’s better they leave before I hurt them. The quote “hurt people hurt people” sums up everything.

This song to me represents healing, I had gone through a really painful breakup with my first love, and for a long time I held a lot of resentment towards him and anger, but one day I realized I genuinely wanted him to be okay, to be happy, when I thought I’d never be able to wish that for him after what happened between us.. The production and melodies in this track symbolize the bittersweet message of the lyrics. I wrote this song in the summer time two years ago… It's been a long time coming. I saved “hope ur doing good” for the last track on the project because it feels like a chapter closing, a farewell.
