Ocean Rain In Yzterfontein is the 4th piece in a series of piano works which takes the listener to Yzterfontein which is on the west coast of South Africa. I remember the rain on the west coast being peaceful offering a sense of contentment for the soul. I remember the sound of ocean waves crashing on the shore, becoming one with the rain. Oh in 1963,
we looked up optimistically,
towards the specks that are the stars,
planning missions out to mars. 

We expected them to call,
if not tomorrow the next day,
turns out there's nothing bloody out there,
or if there was its gone away. 

But now the times have changed,
would we even want to find?
fear's taken over,
mankind has lost its mind. 

This attitudes reflecting our-
selves back from outer space,
cos space is a cold, dead mirror,
we think it better to be safe. 

See we reached an apogee,
back in 1969,
and the perigree is choking,
it's up to us to free our minds. 

We have to look behind the curtain,
we have to see who drives the cogs,
and we'll discover that it's no one,
the machines are doing the jobs. 

And everybody answers,
to a higher cause than he,
I'm not talking about religion,
you can't have that certainty. 

You entered here with nothing,

our technology advances,
whilst our souls have turned to rust.

Savaya was born & raised in Detroit, Michigan. His parents migrated to the Motor City in 80s, from Baghdad Iraq. He was inspired by R&B & Soul Music at a young age, listening to the likes of artists such as Babyface, All 4 One,Tevin Cambell, Donell Jones, Jon B, Prince, TLC, Tamia, Kieth Sweat, BoysIIMen, Mariah Carey, & others... Growing up, Savaya made many walks & bike rides to the local record store, at the time, Harmony House, with his brothers,  where he would spend full days discovering new music. Later in life, Savaya dedicated himself to mastering Piano & started exploring with his voice. Today he is an artist, songwriter,  lover of life & all things that make a good difference in this world. Savaya is using music of all types to spread his message & do light work.
