Award-winning Liverpool-based songwriter John Jenkins released his latest album Restless Hearts on July 4th, 2025. Since its debut, the collection has garnered widespread acclaim for its emotional depth, lyrical craftsmanship, and timeless Americana spirit.  
But the story doesn’t end there.
💡 A Bold Creative Twist
In the lead-up to the release, John conceived a unique companion project: an alternative version of Restless Hearts, featuring each of the 12 original tracks reimagined by other artists. Initially hesitant—unsure if anyone would be interested in covering his songs—John was encouraged by respected songwriter Jim Pearson, who not only endorsed the idea but offered to record a cover himself.
Word spread quickly across social media, and what began as a quiet experiment evolved into a grassroots celebration of collaboration. Artists from across genres stepped forward, each bringing their own interpretation—some professionally produced, others raw and intimate. Styles ranged from stripped-back acoustic to full-band arrangements, with several tracks receiving multiple covers in contrasting styles.
As a heartfelt thank-you to the artists and fans, John is making the full Too Many Roads album available as a free digital download. For those who prefer a physical keepsake, a limited run of 30 CDs is available for £10, including postage.
All proceeds will support the West Kirby Friday Night Musical Group, which recently relocated from the West Kirby Arts Centre to St Bridget’s Community Hall. Funds raised will help cover equipment upgrades and venue costs, ensuring the group continues to thrive in its new home.

Sav Buist is not just part of of the indie folk rock band, The Accidentals - she's a singer-songwriter, recording engineer, and multi-instrumentalist hailing from Nashville TN by way of Traverse City MI.  She's won the 2021 Kerrville NewFolk Songwriting Contest, won 1st place in the 2022 Songwriter Serenade, was the Judge's Choice Winner of the New England Songwriting Competition in 2022, a finalist in the Folk Acoustic category of the 39th Mid Atlantic Song Contest, and recently won the Overall Grand Prize and First Place in the Folk Category for the 27th USA Songwriting Competition.  Her song Cityview and Dar Williams / Katie Larson co-write, Night Train, are currently semi-finalists in the International Songwriting Competition, and her song The Line is a current semi-finalist in American Songwriter.  Her song Wildfire, co-written with her bandmate Katie Larson and Kim Richey, was the #1 song of the year at Folk Radio in 2021.  Along with playing violin, viola, mandolin, guitar, bass, and banjo, Sav is a certified audio engineer, string arranger, and session worker, as well a self-described problem-solver, lock picker, trailer packer-and-backer, bookworm, key lime pie baker, crow nerd, and cat parent in her spare time.
