A song from the vantage point of a man who wishes he was an owl but doesn't know very much about owls. This is a little different from the stuff I write now, but it's the sort of song I wrote all the time when I first started writing music.

I Don't Know Why But I Wish I Was An Owl (lyrics in description)

A very personal song that, in a way, tells the story of my struggles with drug addiction and depression. I set out to write a song that explores how these two things feed into each other, but also to audibly express through atmospheric noise what this feels like. It has taken me a long time to end up with this and I'm not too happy with the final product because the sound quality diminished over time and so much of what I put into this is now lost in the haze of crappy fidelity. This song means a lot to me in a very cryptic way and even though the actual quality of the recording is too rough to appreciate the nuance I tried to put into it, I'm still proud of this song from a writing standpoint as a whole.
