It has been over a decade since the global electronica scene sampled its first Desert Dwellers remix. Synthesized from a menagerie of old-world acoustics infused with the pulsating beat of the electronic underground, it was these early re-visions of @desertdwellers' genre-melding music that would come to serve as a foundation for the duo's evolving relationship with the alchemical art of remixing, as exhibited by over 100 remixes of their style-defining tracks since the project first took shape in the late 1990s.

"Breath Re-Imagined Vol. 2" carries on in this evolving tradition as producers Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe hand the building blocks of their 2019 album, "Breath," over to eleven musical adepts from the realms of downtempo house and electronica for a scintillating new installment to their global music tale. Wavelengths of different frequencies bring us information about sound, temperature or the image of the world. Through our senses we form a coherent whole.
That`s why we love the sound of bells.
The sound spectrum of a single tone consists of the basic frequency and several higher frequencies that are a full multiple of the basic frequency. Together they form harmonious parts of the spectrum.
The non-harmonious spectrum consists of partly harmonious parts which are not full multiples of the basic frequency. The non-harmonious parts are added to the harmonious sections of the tone and produce richer instrumental sounds. Another determining factor of timbre is the transitional state which enables us to identify the source.

Light acts similarly. All the colours of the world  fit within the narrow margin of the visible spectrum. The frequency values enable us to reliably identify their influence on our well being and performance. Light affects our state of mind as much as music.
