Kicking things off for our first release of 2022 is someone we’ve been a fan of at Nothing Else Matters for a while now, Danish/Egyptian DJ, producer and vocalist, Ashibah, who debuts on Danny Howard’s imprint with brand new single, ‘Get 2 Know Me’. It comes after the duo have spent years putting out music on the likes of Get Physical, Defected, Mother and of course their own Lapsus Music. They play a hybrid live and DJ set around the world in the most essential clubs and festivals and have done for more than a decade. They have worked with legends like Kevin Sanderson and scored plenty of club hits and now they are sure to do so again. 

Opener ‘The Black Milk’ is a high impact and energetic cut with old school piano stabs. Clipped vocal loops add fuel to the fire and the big house drums power it along to great effect while deep bass underpins the whole thing. On the flip, Deep Mamba is a more stripped back and late night tune. It has rasping bass, more silky diva vocals and a hypnotic groove that really gets you moving your rump.

Making their debut on the label, we welcome dynamic duo Frederick & Kusse to Saved with their standout ‘Reach The Spirit’ EP. Since bursting onto the scene earlier this year, the duo have had a handful of killer releases on Toolroom and Toolroom Trax, gained A-List DJ support from Gorgon City, MK, Solardo, MistaJam, Riva Starr & Loco Dice and made their debut live appearance at the mighty Studio 338 in London. Kicking of the EP is lead track, ‘Reach Out’ which has a disco-infused tinge with it’s instantly catchy vocals and intricate percussion.
