As Berlin based producer Ninetoes makes his Saved debut with ‘Paapaa / Jiving’ there is a distinct feeling that a new raw and untapped talent has now been unearthed. With only a handful of releases to his name, the German has displayed an immense talent for filling his music with depth, flair and personality. It is that eccentricity, which is clear to see throughout his two track EP for Saved, combined with genuine talent behind the mixing desk that announces this diamond of a discovery.

‘Paapaa’ is a groovy, techno strut that has plenty of swing. Based around a deep bassline, tumbling, almost tribal drums and incessant vocals, the track swings and swirls as it evolves subtly. It is the well-timed gearshifts that inject the tune with purpose though, throwing the rhythms into wild and intoxicating disarray.

‘Jiving’ has an even wilder aesthetic, settling into a warm, balmy and exotic atmosphere. The bottom end is fully loaded and locked into a groove that swells from underneath. A curious breakdown that strips things down to just the vocal and indigenous drums is shattered when the total force of the track is unleashed once and for all. It’s an all-encompassing assault that sweeps everything in its way along with it. It’s a pleasure to be caught up in the mayhem.

This Wednesday however we’ve been dancing round the office as if it’s the last hour of work before a bank holiday weekend. The cause for our fantastic mood? The sun is shining, the weather is sweet and life is good. Oh and we have an exclusive stream of Toy Tonic's latest EP from DT favourites and recent Live Transmission alumni Sacha Robotti and ZDS.

Titled the 'Shaky' EP, the release sees Dirtybird artists collide with the Toy Tonics roster for the second time as Robosonic's Sacha Robotti joins forces with ZDS for two slices of quirky bass influenced techno. Whether DJing or producing, ZDS has long been considered an expert in crafting scrupulous tech-house flavours and few can concoct delicious fare quite like the former Panorama Bar resident. Having forged a reputation out of doing exactly that, and as such, having delivered on a slew of the scene's most renowned labels  it's fair to say we were expecting big things out of his collaborative work with Mr. Robotti, who having studied under a certain Karl Bartos of Kraftwerk has quite the musical pedigree himself. Set to hit shelves and playlists May 25th, we're sure you're going to be hearing plenty of both of these tracks during peak times over the coming months with the 'Shaky' EP surpassing our lofty expectations. Sense Traxx founder Simon Shaw returns to the label this July with the 'Music & Rhythm' EP, comprising three
originals from the UK artist.

The UK's Simon Shaw has been steadily establishing himself in the global house scene over the past few years,
initially making his mark with a series of events in the UK as Sense Traxx before going on to launch the label
and further developing his own and the labels classic meets contemporary house sound.

Opening the release is 'Yeaaahhhh!', a bumpy house cut fuelled by swinging snares, organic percussion and
choppy stab hits while soaring vocal swells, tension building pad sweeps and plucked synths ebb and flow
within. 'Jazz Flute' follows and as the name would suggest embraces a jazzy aesthetic courtesy of wind
melodies, atmospheric vocal recordings and soft Rhodes chords whilst stirring in a classic swung drum groove
and further house tropes in the form of square wave bass and gritty stabs.

Title-cut 'Music & Rhythm' then closes the package with a more groove-driven feel, laid out over seven minutes
with a robust rhythm, chopped vocal hit,s vacillating chord sequences and bright strings all subtly blooming
throughout.
