I know a couple of ex cons and a lot of pros
I’m a nappy headed black boy with a lot up on his mind
And they tried to tell me that my dreams are far off
Projecting their fears upon me coz they took a day off
I came a long way from days of being a soldier
Everybody strong until it’s time to go to war
I hit the gym, I came back stronger then before

They’d rather start a twar then to get that shit on wax 
They said they’re better than us coz they got a couple racks

Don’t get wrong, I used to have that same weak mentality 
Took a couple steps back, looked at reality 
man that shit really turned to my therapy 
I told my shrink you the best, 
I don’t really go to therapy, I just listen to the instruments, poems & melodies 



I started writing as a kid, I barely had no motion
Forever grateful that I met my brother Tumi
He became a catalyst of the product that you see today
Forever living through the influence , so don’t you ever stress about me leaving 
I know my momma got Benz but that shit is not a flex
We was really going through it
Living in my grandma house, till she got a brand new spouse

Now I’m down in Cape Town, looking at the views I’m like damn
This is really nice to be honest, it don’t make me who I am 

I’m still a part of the streets, the streets are still a part of me?
I don’t know
All I know is that I’m living better than I was  before

Don’t get me wrong it could be better
The bruised and the thinkers is who I make the music for
