He Said She Said is more than just a song. It's more than catchy tunes and memorable lyrics. He Said She Said is a statement. It's us four guys in Save It For The Weekend and anybody who will join us taking a stand against rape and sexual abuse.

The aim is to bring about awareness. This won't solve the problem, but we can't hope for the problem to be solved without it.

Too many lights in your house

Original soundtrack that I composed for an action video game or epic film. With broad influences from Doom (Game) to old school sci-fi soundtracks. The track is mostly driven by organic and distorted instruments to create the immense energy, but combined with electronic textures to create the sci-fi/spacey feel. The tone is very dark and menacing but with influences of surrealism to spark that scariness/eeriness of complete uncertainty.

The whole production was composed, recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by myself. I used Pro Tools for everything and mostly ITB production techniques.

This was a really fun project and I experimented a lot with incorporating the futuristic electronic/digital aspect into the explosive, epic, organic backbone of the soundtrack.

NOTE: For best results, this soundtrack is meant to be enjoyed on a full range stereo speaker system.

Oscar Isaac "Never Had" from 10 Years

Pop punk met indie and they really hit it off. Then jazz got involved and Save It For The Weekend was born. This four piece band often compared to bands like All Time Low, Mayday Parade and Placebo is based in Cape Town, with intentions of making waves worldwide.

Made up of four music students from the University of Cape Town, the band was formed in mid 2013, and before long had the opportunity to work with producer Dave Langemann (Freshly Ground, Versus the Wolf) to refine their sound and produce their debut single, Just Right. 2015 saw the release of their new single, He Said She Said as the band sought to take a stand for social justice, using the power of music to stand for what is right.

Having already shared the stage with the likes of Matthew Mole and CrashCarBurn, Save It For The Weekend shows no signs of slowing down. Forget Monday to Thursday. Save it for the weekend.
