This summer will see the launch of Anthea’s latest brainchild, PILLZ, the diverse label will sit comfortably as a sub label of the prolific Partisan outfit, with the A&R being carefully curated by herself, and long time friend Velasco hailing from NYC now Berlin based. The label is aiming to be a safe haven for straight edge, and innovative sounds from a selection of rising talent, and simultaneously friends and artists they have met along the way on their journey together. 
Inaugurating the release is the talented Francesco Carvetta, his debut outing is an impressive showcase of his gritty, and discerning sound, but always maintains a danceable approach. Four chunky and distinctive cuts spread across the vinyl EP. 	
 
Diving in at the deepest of ends is the sub heavy “”Part Of The Call” a chugging bass line remains at the forefront of the tracks as spaced out synths simmer around the heart of the track. Next up Carvetta takes us on a journey of “Midnight Travel”, otherworldly voices converse with the emphatic structure of the track, steering you safely into the small hours of the night. A stripped back trip of dusty nostalgia with the B1, “Minds Power”, blurring the lines between trance and techno infused with a touch of modern day class, nodding towards the after party moments. Last but not least is “Petra”, crammed with raw tenacity, layered with dark and serious tones breathing life into the enormous bass arrangement. 

Deep and mysterious energy kicks off what is set to become an integral label in the coming years, sitting comfortably as the sub-label of the prolific Partisan imprint. PILLZ is officially born!

One of the enduring powerhouses of our era returns for RA.1000 with a riotous mix.

When Helena Hauff made her first RA Podcast appearance back in 2013, she was on the eve of releasing her debut production on Actress' Werkdiscs imprint. In the 12 years that have elapsed, she's become not just a household name within electronic music, but the kind of rare talent that lives in seclusion from industry tumultt.

(Hauff, enviously, has never even owned a smartphone.)

Her calling card continues to be her penchant for rough and ready EBM, electro and new wave. Her unique ability is creating a singular listening experience from disparate or out-of-favour tracks, with a raw immediacy that functions as a redress to over-choreographed modern DJing.

Her outsider approach is on show once again for RA.1000. Threaded together by strobe-lit DIY electronica, old-school acid house and corrosive machine funk that chews up the ear, the nearly two-hour set raises the bar once again.

In the sci-fi themed first half, Hauff drops two Cybotron tracks, nodding to Juan Atkins' blueprint for electro. You'll also hear "Riot" by Underground Resistance, the definitive mission statement for a world ablaze. This is musical anarchism, executed to the highest degree.

Brumeux et songeur, le paysage rend difficile la distinction entre le bateau et ses habitant·es. Peu à peu, l’activité des pirates se révèle : iels mangent ensemble, font la fête ensemble.
Puis, lentement, on se dirige vers une île — ou une terre — où iels poursuivent la fête, plus intensément, jusqu’à ne plus pouvoir danser et s’endormir sur la plage.
Et ensemble, iels rêvent.
Tout se fond à nouveau dans une brume songeuse…

Processus de Guerison: L'errance du tapetum lucidum commence sur les flots lancinants d'une lénifiante contemplation. Mais vite, le brouillard poisseux sèment le chaos dans les esprits, la lutte est acharnée, l'équipage file la lumière. Ils la trouveront, je l'espère.
