Sav Killz (Jamel Hampton) is a Brooklyn emcee, born in Flatbush, who came up in the do or die Bedstuy. He has emersed himself in the hip-hop culture since as long as he could remember. First as a graff writer he wrote Savage doing throw ups and fillins throughout Brooklyn. Later Sav was inspired to become an emcee on a serious level. He had been rhyming since childhood but when he saw how his words and unique stlye affected those around him he found his true calling. Sav engaged in numerous battles and street corner cyphers building his rep all over Brooklyn. He later honed his skills among the Wu-tang Clan  cypher. Sav spent many a night rhyming in 36 Chambers studio and Restoration Plaza in Brooklyn which was run by Popa Wu (one of the Wu-tang elders who inspired the Clan). Beyond the WU Sav also performed at many open mic events including End of the Week at the Pyramid, The Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Club Speed,and Bowery Poetry Club just to name a few. During this period Sav became a staple in the underground scene , coming up with artists like Stronghold Crew, Immortal Technique, Planet Asia, C Rayz Walz, Loer Velocity and more. All those late nights paid off. Sav's lyrical skills were honed like a sword.  

Sav is an active member of the Nation of Gods and Earths for several years. The Nation inspired Sav to stay positive, help his community and strive for the best things in life. You can see that in his music. While Sav Killz music is street and gritty, there is still a feeling of hope shown in his furvor. Sav Killz  performed at several Show N Proves at Allah's School in Harlem .

A few years ago Sav Killz linked up with DJ J-Ronin who took up management for him.  Working with Ronin took Sav to the next level.  He released 3 mixtapes which all together has sold over 30,000 . Sav did shows all over the counry including LA, Miami, Boston, Philadelphia, and of course all over New York. He has opened for Jadakiss, Slick Rick, Saigon, AZ, The Beatnuts, Rakim, Foxy Brown and many others. Sav has gotten spins from Peter Rosenberg on Hot 97, Marley Marl on Power 105, Kay Slay, Dj Premier, DJ Eclipse and more. Beyond radio spins Sav has been featured  in most major websites including AllHiphop, Hiphopdx, Hiphopgame, Nahright, 2dopeboyz, Onsmash and magazines including Juice  (Germany) Hip Hip Connection (UK), Foundation, Stash and  Rap Fanatic.  In 2010 Sav joined the Gold Chain Military a rap group with Cali's 
Planet Asia - they release the Post War mixtape and then the album Chain of Command ft. production from Alchemist, Large Professor, Thayod Ausar, DJ Babu, Evidence etc.  The album did well digitally and helped get Sav's name to the West Coast and Planet Asia fans. Also in 2010 Sav was featured on Ruste Juxx's project Adamantine on Duckdown a song entitled "Rap Assasins" feat. Ill Bill. Sav was also on 9th Prince of Killarmy's ALbum One Man War and Big Lou's Pray For Me record "Cypher Bullies" with Math Hoffa.  Sav will be appearing on two records on the Academy 2 Compilation produced by Terminal 3 dropping this year. One record feat Rakaa of Dilated Peoples and one with Jadakiss, Billy Danze of M.O.P. and La the Darkman.   He's currently finishing up his debut EP "Still Determined" dropping soon on All Elements / Fat Beats Distro
