Squash Gang - Moving Your Hips

Gina X Performance (the group consisting primarily of Gina X on vocals and Zeus B. Held on production) were way ahead of their time. Their dark blend of synths, detached vocals and infectious grooves do not easily lend themselves to conventional categorization. Their "hit", No G.D.M, is a prime example. In an era of mostly meaningless lyrics (at least on the dance floor), Gina X were producing songs dedicated to Quentin Crisp, an early 20th century figure known for effeminate mannerisms, social critiques through his writing and one man theatre productions that would bring him to a wider audience later in his life. The song tittle, No G.D.M., was a reference to a Crisp quote in his book, the Naked Public Servant, that there was "no great dark man". If you want a deeper insight into that quote, you won't find it here.

All that aside, this track has such a groove you almost forget Gina is singing about lesbians and death, among other things. The edit slices up the original and stretches it out, reworking the vocals to lend the whole track a more dubby vibe and adding some slight percussion and sound manipulation. It also bumps the tempo up a bit to 118 from around 110. Enjoy!

Inspired by the NASA New Horizons mission to Pluto, 27 artists offered their music to create a beautiful and mysterious soundtrack to the unknown and the soon to be discovered.

I call my track Meiōsei (Star of the King of the Underworld), 
a word coined by Japanese astronomer Hōei Nojiri for the newly discovered planet Pluto back in 1930.

With this song I wanted to capture the beauty of the vastness of space. 
A journey through solitude and beyond.

This thirteenth edition of the independent label contains a various number of known bands such as Psyche, Schwarzblut, Fatal Casualties and Makina Girgir as well as wonderful and more unknown work by THX 1971, Manic De{e}pression and A State Called Faith amongst others. 
After the success of ‘A Visual And Auditory Reminder Or The Beauty Of Life’, Seja’s first compilation on vinyl, a second edition was about to be expected soon; people keep on asking about it.
The combination of well-known and less known, European and overseas, turns this release into a scenic view of the state of the contemporary alternative electronic music scene. Hard pruning work is interspersed with delicate songs and it is this that makes this album so surprising and special. It is striking quality with carefully chosen sequence of songs. Seja herein has a sure “fingerspitzengefühl” for which 'SORE', like its predecessor, sounds like one logical piece.
"SORE" is only available on vinyl. And as usual, Seja managed again to create a work of art on the album sleeve, this time assisted by photographer Hannah Mai. The LP includes an inlay with photos, texts, info + postcard.

We are back! After almost 2 years since the release of our album “Metropoli”, we decided to release a one off vinyl I2” single that maybe will be part, maybe not, of our future album scheduled for 2O2O on Bordello A Parigi records. After playing live all around Europe and meeting our fantastic audience, we thought it was right to go back to our Italo roots in full effect. “Now Or Never” is an energic and dirty Italo club track going straight to the dance floor, no compromise! On the b-side you’ll find our rendition of the legendary track “(Do You Have) The Force” by the great French project The Droids that we’ve been playing already since a couple of years. Mastering was done by the mighty Alden Tyrell, background vocals by our dreamy collaborator Francesca Gastaldi and graphic design by MILKPLUS.
