Some things in life cannot be measured by numbers or translated into words. Having the privilege to officially remix a track by Hernan Cattaneo is one of them. Among this select group is the Brazilian producer and multi-instrumentalist BRVNOV, who has just delivered his own interpretation of Love Is Coming Back. The original track, released in February 2023 featuring the Egyptian-Canadian duo Husa & Zeyada, presented Zeyada’s hypnotic vocals — which were preserved and carefully repositioned in this new remix. The remix sets an intrinsically hypnotic mood from the start, guiding the listener through a sensitive and immersive journey. The break, wrapped in melodic pads, creates a moment of absolute trance and seems to suspend time before the drop, which is luminary and expansive. This is BRVNOV’s third release on DOC Records, consolidating not only his place in the label’s catalog but also the trust and respect of Gui Boratto. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

There was dancing now on the canvas in the garden, old men pushing young girls backward in eternal graceless circles, superior couples holding each other tortuously, fashionably and keeping in the corners-and a great number of single girls dancing individualistically to these great Arab-influenced electronic sounds. By midnight the hilarity had increased. A celebrated tenor had sung in Arab and a notorious contralto had sung in Jazz and between the numbers people were doing  “stunts” all over the garden, while happy vacuous bursts of laughter rose toward the Summer sky. A pair of stage “twins” -who turned out to be the girls in yellow- did a baby act in costume and champagne was served in glasses bigger that finger bowls. The moon had risen higher, and floating in the sound was a triangle of silver scales, trembling a little to the palm of those electronic grooves. I was still with Jordan. We were sitting at a table with a man of about my age and a rowdy little girl who gave way upon the slightest provocation to uncontrollable laughter. I was enjoying myself now. I had taken two finger bowls of champagne and the scene had changed before my eyes into something significant, elemental and profound. “What’s the name of these guys Jordan?” I asked curiously my friend. “Señora from Spain. They’ve got a new single for Shango Records” he replied.
