Madraas kick-off 2022 with a sublime new single on Kindisch that comes with remixes from RIGOONI and David Orin. 

Riccardo and Marco are Madraas, a pair of house craftsmen at home on connoisseur labels like All Day I Dream and The Soundgarden. They have a melodic, enchanting sound that gets your head amongst the clouds and your feet tapping. Here they offer the seductive 'Where The Shadow Ends,' which has a slinky house rhythm that is invitingly loose. The weighty kick drums are peppered with toms and dreamy synths bring a luxurious and spaced-out feel. It makes for a classy deep house roller. 

RIGOONI hails from Brazil and brings with him a rich array of influences. He has released on the iconic Balance Music and Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, and now comes through with a richly organic remix. It is more driving than the original, with slick tech drums powering it along under balmy, far-sighted chords that get you in a reverie. 

New Yorker David Orin is a foundational figure in his native scene who blends rhythmic percussion and intricate melody. He is part of the All Day I Dream roster and serves up a hypnotic remix here. It is perfectly airy and zoned out, with smooth grooves and sustained chords bringing plenty of warmth and soul. 

‘Where The Shadow Ends’ is another perfectly absorbing and musical package of deep house from Kindisch.

A legendary figure within the underground dance scene, Savvas has been involved in electronic music for three decades. A veteran of the DJ circuit and a production career dating back to a 2011 debut, the Greek artist has been a familiar sight on the likes of Anjunadeep, The Purr and 3rd Avenue. A trio of remixes for Proton Music have seen reworkings of Erdi Irmak, Rick Pier O'Neil and GMJ as Savvas now releases his debut EP on the label with "Reminisce".

A sonic triumph with a beautiful melodic narrative, the title track lilts enticingly along its 9-minute journey with a delicately flowing lead line. Beautiful piano phrases add to the sonic tapestry as breathy vocal and complementary motifs create a stunning work. A rolling rhythmic groove and deep kick provide the backdrop for "Momentum" to continue the rich melodic atmosphere as free-flowing lines and subtly plucked guitar themes resonate gently. Through a beautiful combination of counterpoint phrasing the track oozes class and craftsmanship. Characterised by a glorious broken beat rhythm, "Reflections" harkens back to a bygone era of progressive breaks as sublime melodies flow, juxtaposed to a chunky rolling cadence. Full of delicate touches that evolve and blossom over the 6-minute piece, the track hypnotises with a repetitive sonic beauty that culminates in a powerful woodwind sequence post breakdown.

A recognised DJ across his Indian home, Vridian's production career has seen him sign his work to such celebrated labels as Manjumasi, Qilla Records and Dream Culture. Returning to Proton Music after an impressive 2020 reworking of Soulwerk, Vridian initially swaps the chunky broken beat of Savvas' original with a subtle rolling groove and subterranean kick. Building elegantly, a shimmering breaks pattern enters the fray as an immaculately syncopated bassline sits perfectly between to create a sublime dub sound. Greek-based, Chicago-born Savvas is a producer and dj. Way back in time, Savvas came in contact with electronic music in 1992, discovering his preference and talent for deejaying he soon started playing around clubs and open-air parties since the late nineties. He joined forces with Vasilis Giouvris aka Yosebu in 2000 and under the name Acropod they released their first album on Klik records and a few singles and remixes on labels around the globe. 
Nowadays Savvas on his personal path on music with the same passion he had and still has for music, he keeps experimenting with different kinds of sounds and rhythms and starts releasing singles to expand his musical style. 
Deep house, ethereal to abstract, atmospheric to cosmic tunes.

Last but not least, as every artist has numerous faces, Savvas is also under the name Falling Sun http://soundcloud.com/thefallingsun in a more ambient, cinematic music profile.
