This song was inspired by the 2006 Xavier Giannoli film “Quand j’etais chanteur” (The Singer), starring Gérard Depardieu and Cécile de France. Depardieu plays Alain Moreau, an aging performer who sings for one of the few remaining dance-bands in Clermont-Ferrand. Though something of an idol amongst his female audience, he has a melancholic awareness of the slow disappearance of that audience and of his advancing years.

Wrote & recorded this song in memory of both my late Uncle and young friend Addy, who both had recently passed. Only a day after my Uncle's death my wife & I found out we were going to be parents, which also made this song what it is. Moments has this immense sadness & loss but through the song there is this sense of happiness. To me the song is a thank you to the memories I had with my Uncle and friend during their time. With these losses also came an appreciation for the life in front of my eyes, which is reflective of the people around me & my baby boy. "Seize the moment, says the moment"
