Sometimes it's important to make music just in order to make MUSIC. The one that grabs your soul, listening to your heart and let the vibe goes naturally. The rest does not matter.

This is what I tried to do with this track. Listen to this musical story :)

After opening up the account on their new label earlier this year, Krankbrother return to the imprint with two new tracks, which show off the differing shades of their musical dexterity.

Up on our Debut Transmission is A-side ‘When You’re Watching Me’, a fully formed Summer belter, which ticks all the boxes required for a modern day, sunrise dance classic. A thunderous sub-bass line booms over delicate drums, the percussion lightly soaked in reverb as the filters open and close on the soft & melodic arpeggiated riffs.

All the hallmarks of a classic piece of euphoric electronica are here, best exemplified by the syrupy female vox and Balearic tones, and a hefty breakdown that really ramps up the drama. Shades of the 90’s big guns like Underworld and Fluke are here, but perhaps more in the grandiose style in which ‘When You’re Watching Me’ has been delivered, either way, it’s most certainly one of Krankbrother’s best to date.

After the release of its 5 year anniversary EP with Ricardo Villalobos & Umho, Drumma Records starts off 2017 with it’s sixteenth release - Resolutions by Faster. 

The Romanian artist brings us two outstanding dance floor tracks. “Got to give” is an excellent club piece with a funky minimal ostinato, perfect for energetic and deep sets. The track’s long duration keeps us constantly floating and finally reaches a zenith half-way through. Without a doubt, this composition will allow long, purposeful mixes and calm any crowd’s jitters.

On the B-side, “Got to take” is a track with a relaxed tempo where beautiful bells and percussive instruments ring out while we feel ethereal and mysterious melodies forming as landscapes in the background of a painting. A perfect B-side to listen to at home or to bring down a club in a sunrise set.

To finish up the EP, we have a masterful remix by danish producer S.A.M. Here we can see the artist’s full musical unfolding - soft pads bring us peace without losing the intensity of the dance floor.

Let`s lift the veil on the forthcoming MixCult Records` digital releases and move to the near future. @kirillmatveev made up the 2nd compilation «Letters from Tomorrow», presenting tracks from EPs and albums, which are going to be released this year. The album includes 7 compositions, and it will familiarize you with newcomers mostly, though some of the authors are already well known to you.

This compilation turned out to be diverse, including dub, acid, groovy deep and even a little of breakbeat.
