Nour Ashour was born in June 12 1982 and rises in Alexandria, Egypt, where he used to live and started his work as a musician.

From 2003 he moved to Cairo and started playing with several bands, and also in projects creating and helping bands like, Ressala band, El door el awal band , Crash Boom Band, Vybe band, Fiesta Latina & Sundial band.

Nour has established him as one of the best saxophone players in Egypt, he’s works with the Saxophone includes (soprano, alto, tenor and baritone).
He is also recognized in other countries he has performed in: Lebanon, Qatar, Spain, Germany, Italy, Dubai, Jordan, Egypt, Sweden, France, Malta, and South Africa. 

He grew up listening to his father “Hussein Ashour”, who supports him in the beginning, and then he knew that he should rely on himself and resolved to become a player.
Ashour pick up the saxophone for the first time at the age of 19 and continued playing through out his education, graduated in Business administration from the “Arab Academy for science, technology and maritime transportation” in Alexandria.

His 1st performance was with “Ressala”, and it was such a great experience for him that it was part of his inspiration in his career and more performance to come out.

His first workshop was in 2003 and it was through the Swedish director, Eva Bergman. The aim of that workshop was the exchange between artists from different Arab countries to present a musical theatre performance of Midsummer Night’s Dream by Shakespeare.
It took place in Alexandria, Guttenberg and Stockholm. This project was made with the collaboration of Jesuit center in Alexandria, Baca theatre Guttenberg and Royal Dramatic theatre Stockholm.
