For this 143th Premiere of 2021, we have a track by the Berlin-based electronic music producer "PΛЯΛПD" entitled ‘Roswell Saucer’ from her upcoming EP "PATIENT​-​X" on the London label : Specimen Records.

"PΛЯΛПD - PATIENT​-​X" will be available from July 2, 2021 on 12” Special Edition Green Translucent Vinyl + Digital through all major digital music stores and streaming platforms.

PΛЯΛПD - PATIENT​-​X [Specimen Records - SPEC-022]

This is Parand’s debut project for Specimen, and here we indulge the concept of events
based around Area 51. This has always created controversy and conspiracy as a covert space for
experimenting on extraterrestrial aliens. We can only imagine the horrors of human endeavour to
probe the inner bodies as a means of developing advanced interstellar technology. Albeit, driven
by fear and paranoia as a means of conquering outer space the alien species remain a puzzle, but
they are here among us have no doubt.

An alien organism reaches planet earth it is sent in the form of a superior female whose dark,
passionate embrace allures us to the magical and mystical bewilderment of sonic worlds.
PΛЯΛПD is the future of Specimen with PATIENT-X. This is a taste of things to come, after probing
into the future with a dark remix of Arsonist Recorder’s "Vaxxer", she is proving to be a formidable
force in the realms of electro.

PΛЯΛПD is Berlin-based producer
At an early age, she developed her passion and taste for music. While her musical roots are
grounded in classical piano training, her broad influences and obsession with electronic beats led
her to experimenting with DJing and producing what could be considered a unique style of electro
with experimental sound shapes, infused with
dark bass-lines and beats.

Presenting Queens of Club: a two-part VA celebrating the established and up-and-coming women and non-binary producers of Ghetto House, Electro, Footwork & Breakbeat.

Astral Booty, shown here, is the otherworldly, funky, leftfield side of Queens of Club. The recurring theme is dreaminess, but don't let that lull you into a false sense of security as these tracks still slap, and will go to town on your subwoofer! Cute Breaks, Ghetto Techno and Playful Hardcore are just a few buzzwords that come to mind, but don’t quite do justice to the extreme diversity of sounds within.

The title pays homage to the seminal "Queens of Baltimore Club", a highly sought-after LP from various legendary female Bmore artists (like Kotton the Cutie and Mz. Thang) compiled by DJ Technics in 2001. Almost two decades later and the club scene is still a hostile environment for marginalised groups and this compilation aims to address that. Queens of Club is by women/non-binary people, right down to the mastering engineer and the artwork designers, and intended for everyone who likes to shake their ass at high speed!
