"Ain't No Sunshine" was originally written by Bill Withers for his 1971 album Just As I Am, produced by Booker T. Jones.

This song has been covered by many artists, including Paul McCartney, Isaac Hayes, Lionel Hampton, Prince, Sting, Michael Jackson, Kenny Rogers, Tom Jones and Lighthouse Family, Black Label Society. It was also interpolated by rapper DMX for his 2001 song "No Sunshine."

The song reached the Top 40 again in 2009, when it was sung by Kris Allen in the eighth season of American Idol.

The fourth track from my new album 'Memory Trails' ✨

I started this tune after I came back to Portugal from the US almost a year ago, I played at Tipper & Friends Rendezvous (Suwannee), Infrasound Ferstival and The Black Box, this little tour sparked a lot of inspiration and was absolute 🔥. I landed just a day before my birthday, as a present from my friends there I got a ‘Micro Freak’ synthesizer which is a super fun little synth made by Arturia. I started playing around and made this dreamy sequence on the Micro Freak and this is how this tune started, with inspiration from my journey in the US infused with lots of Bassy vibes.
