Saytr play are an indie-pop outfit known for their electric live shows, in iconic venues (gorilla, broadcast, ebgbs...) And the festival circuit (great escape, ynot, neighbourhood, 110above...) alike. 

Sharing influence with Circa Waves, the strokes, sundara karma and cage the elephant, and recieving playlisting from radio x, Spotify (New Music Friday, Hot New Bands, Indie List) Amazing Radio and bbc introducing, the band have racked up over a million streams on Spotify & a dedicated fanbase. 

Following their hiatus, Saytr Play came back this year with 'The Butterfly Stitches EP', amassing over 150,000 streams, Editorial support on Spotify's Fresh finds and New Music Friday, playlisting on XS Manchester and national radio coverage on Radio X. Off the back of this success, Saytr Play sold out their headline show at Manchester's Deaf Institute a month in advance. 

Saytr play release 'Brother' on 1st September and headline Manchester's Canvas on the 8th September.

Is a very nostalgic song for me. Most songs touch on the subject of love, the only difference here is that I wanted to write a song about how much I love my mates. I wanted to share some of the story’s and memories we lived through in our younger years. Growing up in Moston (Manchester). The good times. The bad times. It’s celebrating he family we choose, in our case our brothers. Life is never plain sailing but I like to think that is about who you are with not where you are. In this industry iv met a lot of privileged people but I honestly wouldn’t change our upbringing for the world. I’m proud of where I’m from & I love my mates so I wrote a song about it. Enjoy.

Beige Banquet are a London-based five-piece playing a bleak yet high-powered style of dark punk. Underpinned by a propulsive and motorik rhythm section, they combine robotic and percussive vocal deliveries with industrial textures and abrasive guitars to create frantic and driving sound. The band are set to release their sophomore album 'Ornamental Hermit', and first as a full band, on the 13th March 2024.

Produced by Beige Banquet with the help of engineer Matt Green (Sniffany & The Nits, Artefact, Joanna Gruesome) at Head Cold Studios and mixed and mastered by David Forcier (Civic) ‘Animals’ captures the band in a professional studio environment, moving away from the lofi bedroom recordings of previous releases, the studio provided a perfect environment for the band to develop compositionally and explore a more textural approach.

Combining layers of noise and bursts of saturated percussion, with a driving rhythm section, ‘Animals’ is a taste of the richer and more dynamic sound of their future releases, and captures the raw power of the Beige Banquet live show for the first time.

Receiving playlisting from Radio X, Spotify (New Music Friday UK, Hot New Bands, Indie List) Amazing Radio and BBC introducing, the band have racked close to two million streams on Spotify & a dedicated fanbase. 

Following their hiatus, Saytr Play returned this year with ‘The Butterfly Stitches EP’ amassing over 200,000 streams on Spotify (Editorial backing on New Music Friday UK and Fresh Finds), BBC Introducing support, playlisting on XS Manchester and national radio coverage on Radio X. Off the back of this success, Saytr Play sold out their headline show at Manchester's Deaf Institute a month in advance. Recent single ‘Brother (YKTDY)’ led to a session for BBC Introducing, continued features on national radio and Spotify editorial playlisting on the flagship ‘Fresh Finds’ playlist with over 2 million followers. 

Saytr Play release Falling Out Of Love on the 10th November, taken from their forthcoming ‘Life in Black and White EP’.  Highlighted by shimmering synths and driving guitars, Falling Out Of Love is an energetic indie pop track. 

“Behind the upbeat instrumentation the song itself touches on that point in a break up where you realise it isn’t meant to be. Our lyrics are always based on experiences we have lived and we hope you feel that. Enjoy!”

Following their hiatus, Saytr Play returned in 2023 year with ‘The Butterfly Stitches EP’ amassing over 450,000 streams on Spotify (Editorial backing on New Music Friday UK and Fresh Finds), BBC Introducing support, playlisting on XS Manchester and national radio coverage on BBC Radio 1 and Radio X. Off the back of this success, Saytr Play finished the year performing to over 1000 people at Manchester’s Iconic Academy 2.

Taken from the ‘Life in Black and White EP’ Saytr Play released the singles ‘Brother (YKTDY)’ and ‘Falling Out Of Love’ towards the end of 2023, again receiving editorial backing from Spotify and radio support from BBC Introducing, XS Manchester and Radio X. In January 2024, Falling Out Of Love featured on Jess Iszatt’s BBC Introducing show on BBC Radio 1, a huge moment for an independent band that prides itself on self producing and releasing their own music.

‘Only You’ will be released on 15th March 2024 and is our third single from the upcoming ‘Life in Black and White EP. Featuring distorted guitars and bright synths, the song speaks about the initial stages of a relationship where nothing else matters and you feel more alive than you ever have before. We wrote, recorded and produced the song in our bedrooms (something we’re massively proud of!) We always write music based on experiences that we have lived and we want the listener to feel that!
