If you're in the mood for some cosmic grooves, wayward disco and pagan psychedelia, Multi-Culti's Cult Edits series is always worth checking. The imprint's latest offering is packed to the rafters with mind-altering goodness. Inigo Voltier sets the tone with "Ti Amo", a Fairlight-powered bounce through post-Italo oddball electro territory with added mix-80s power-pop guitars, before Angelina Amor reworks a sludgy slab of European industrial/new wave fusion. Youkounkoun's throbbing "Cosmic Yoyo" sounds like post-apocalyptic Italo-disco after a fist full of downers, while Asa Moto's "When The Funk Is On" is a funky but undeniably weird electro-industrial cut rich in delay-laden vocal snippets and metallic percussion hits.

Chiranuma  — a three piece live band from Moscow with ‘fragment.you’ EP. The band is combining leftfield techno with live mysterious vocals on 3 original tracks of the EP while they build from atmospheric intros into energetic psychedelic melodic trips.
On the remixes there is an old company  —  label bosses Uninc & Kolomensky who add some pumping rave power to ‘Buji’ and Panorama Channel who turns ‘Okean’ into mystical trancey breakbeat adventure.

ИДА — record label from Moscow, which grew up from the local club night. 
Label is known for its eclectic approach and no boundaries in the sound and constantly looking for new names of the local scene to put them on the international cultural map aswell as established like minded artists from around the world.

The branches of the trees were bare, a hangover from the cold winter days that seemed to roll on forever. We were quick on the approach to spring now, eagerly awaiting the soft pink of the first blossom to reveal itself. Like clockwork as the days grew warmer the colours became more vibrant and vivid; the grass a bright green and the flowers blooming in shades of blue, yellow and red. It's wonder what the outside can do for one's mind...

It's been two years since Budapest native Imre Kiss shared his solo efforts with the world. Following that release, his Strangers EP on Lobster Theremin sub-label Mörk, he makes his way to local label Dalmata Daniel for another inter-dimensional adventure. He joins previous artists who've graced the label - the likes of Cardopusher, DJ Overdose and Norwell - with Oimachi, the title track of which was written during a tour across Japan. Imre Kiss brings emotive notes, acid subs and tight drum work across the three original tracks, which are backed up by a remix from Den Haag's finest, Intergalactic Gary who takes the lead track into mind-expanding realms.

Every sacrifice is a restoration, convicted by historical reality in that lie with which it is undertaken.
Parasols (Ali Renault) applies ABS to the bpm with the new beat friendly ‘Diaz’; a slasher disco stalker prowling the lower east side of somewhere deep in your residual nightmares. Red Corner thwacks hard and dusky like a dustbin full of grit. Now your as giddy as the time you had your first bucket. The mutated commentary that underpins this clash of pans melts woozily into ‘Sacrifice’, which comes on all Baldelli inspired like some Rimini horror fest where Benetton and Timberlands frug it out amongst shadows in the Mediterranean dusk. Bursting with energy the finalimente of this accomplished brace of toons is possibly the standout, ‘Cesana Learning’ leers and lurches with weird gut belches that are both melodic and disorienting at the same time; shifting gears midpoint into some glorious electro chimes that will strike a chord with fans of other post techno luminaries such Ed DMX. Get some of this, enjoy flagellate and try to stay conscious.

Fate And Fiction Recordings is a Bristol based label headed up by Thrilogy aka Lee Pattison and Joseph Cook.  Thrilogy previously recorded as Deepgroove, releasing on Rekids, Cocoon, Klang Elektronik, Junior Boys Own. The label is all about organic, dusty sampling of Deep House and Techno from Bristol artists and further afield, with the stunning hand-drawn artwork by local artist Anna Higgie.  Previous releases from the label include Ishmael, Greymatter and Christophe. After a year of parties around the city of Bristol, playing host to WOLF Music, Medlar, Red Rack ‘em, Alfresco Disco, Maxxi Soundsystem and Laurence Guy, Fate And Fiction are back with a heavy hitting EP.

N-Gynn (Superlux, Seven Dials Records) & Thoma Bulwer (The Bricks, Parasole Culture, Alternate Facts, Whasdat Music) are newcomers to the label with the rolling ‘Climax’.  Heavy sub bass, synth stabs & breakbeat are the order of the day on this club-focussed gem.  Finally Fate And Fiction welcome back Ment after his stunning debut on the label last year, ‘Vague Insanity’ supported by Gilles Peterson. This time he delivers Rhodes led ‘I’m Fading’ with spikey synth arpeggios, vocal trickery and warm synths, showing another side to an undoubtedly talented producer.

They sat across the table, eyes fixed on one another, a sense of disbelief discernible through the deep lines on their faces. Decades had past since they'd last been face to face. So much had happened, so much had changed in that time; it was impossible to know where either of them should begin. The woman opened her mouth softly, then paused. He raised a finger to his lips and smiled warmly. They didn't need words now...

Despite the current circumstances, Berlin-based label Malka Tuti believe reflection, contemplation and adaptation are the best ways to work through this situation. It's this perspective that's motivated them to move forward with their plan to release a digital compilation to celebrate their fifth birthday.  

Featuring five tracks (for five years) the EP includes a couple of contributions from the Malka Tuti family and some secret versions of previous releases that the label bosses have been playing out for some time. Spanning slow trance, ambient and DIY post punk, contributions come from Die Orangen, Vactrol Park, Xen Yovav, Die Orangen, Gordon Pohl and our pick, a sludgy hypnotic remix from Khidja of Tapan and Radwan Ghazi Moumneh, taken off Tapan's Europa LP released in 2017.

The calendar was empty; no dates or pre-booked appointments were scrawled across the page. Plans didn't really exist anymore, the days came and went, each day and night blurring into the next. There wasn't much point in checking anymore, it didn't really matter. April had passed them by in a haze and so had the majority of May. Perhaps June would bring more excitement...

Duro's next V/A collection calls on label friends old and new from all corners of the world. The next edition of the Muy Duro series features five tracks - including three collaborations coming courtesy of Calypso co-founder Thomass Jackson and Hard Fist's Cornelius Doctor, Concret & Iñigo Vontier and Martin Noise and Marzian, and two solo endeavours from Colombian producer Kabinett and Lithuania's Roe Deers. Exclusive Cowboy Rhythmbox - 6AM Cowboy (Cowboy Rhythmbox Deviation Variation)

British “outsider-electronic duo“ Cowboy Rhythmbox return to Erol Alkan's Phantasy Sound with a  none-existing musical approach up to date from the cowboys Nathan Gregory Wilkins and Richard X themselves. As Detroit producer Sharif Laffrey took on remix duties for CR's 6AM Nathan and Richard remixed the remix of the track, expressing their appreciation of Sharif's work. The result of the remix remix, simply called Deviation Variation, falls into the category creative remarkableness. A lush yet bouncey bass line is equipped with sharp reverbing chords and blurry synths while partly implemented filter hi-hat rides and mono-alternating vocal-snippets are swaying from left to right. The remix reaches musical exellence once the disorted and echoing chord sequence makes its appearance adding a warm vitalness to the wild west Detroit-shooting.

Cowboy Rhythmbox's EP 6AM Cowboy is released on Phantasy Sound on April 10th, 2020.
