Like many artists during the pandemic, Robert Johnson resident Franziska Berns is digging outside of the dancefloor norm. She’s put together a beautiful arrangement of ambient and downtempo - which includes her own productions and edits - intertwining some jazz and psych-rock elements. 
It’s the perfect set to play post-weekend, to get back to your mid-week serenity.

In this podcast, she’s doing no different, but does so with slow-jammed old-skool hip-hop, silky soft funk and R&B, a wink to Chicago house, and cheeky vocals that can make you feel aroused, having you fantasize about that person you'd like to spend some time with. 5ive of Cos/Mes, a long time friend and source of inspiration! We first stumbled upon his music back in them MySpace-days when we flew over to Tokyo the hang out in his Sadistic Skatepark. This time he gave us a mix of different field recordings, that gives us a glimpse of dance floors, dj booths, streets, bars, markets, shores and after hours from around the globe. 

When listening to this , what first came to my mind were some deep down inside childhood memories. From when my parentes were throwing parties and me hanging out under a table listening to the music and the grown ups chatting, drinking and smoking. So put on some headphones close your eyes and get with the program! /Sling
