"Orinoco Flow", also released as "Orinoco Flow (Sail Away)", is a song by Irish singer-songwriter Enya from her second studio album, Watermark (1988). The song was released on 3 October 1988 by WEA Records in the United Kingdom and by Geffen Records in the United States the following year. The song topped the UK Singles Chart for three weeks and received two Grammy Award nominations for Best Music Video and Best New Age Performance at the 32nd Annual Grammy Awards.

In 2020, The Guardian ranked "Orinoco Flow" at number 77 in its list of the 100 greatest UK number-one singles of all time.

"Tell It to My Heart" is a song performed by American singer, songwriter and actress Taylor Dayne, released in October 1987 as her first single from her first album of the same name (1988). The single was Dayne's first major exposure, and she soon became known for her up-tempo, dance-oriented music. The song was written by Chappell Music staff songwriter Seth Swirsky and Ernie Gold. Swirsky almost did not deliver the song to his publisher after he and his girlfriend decided it was not good enough.

The song debuted on the US Billboard Hot 100 during the week of October 10, 1987, at position number 92, and entered the top 40 of the chart the week of November 14, 1987, rising to number 39 from number 43. Ten weeks later, during the week of January 23, 1988, the single peaked in the number seven spot. The song was present on the Hot 100 for 25 weeks. In the UK, "Tell It To My Heart" reached number three. It was ranked as the 23rd best-selling single of 1988 in the UK. In 1995, "Tell It to My Heart'" was remixed and re-released to promote Dayne's Greatest Hits package. This version climbed to number 23 on the UK Singles Chart.

"Last Dance" is a song by American singer Donna Summer. The song appeared on the Thank God It's Friday movie soundtrack. It was written by Paul Jabara "Paul Frederick Jabara", co-produced by Summer's regular collaborator Giorgio Moroder, along with Bob Esty, and mixed by the Grammy Award winning record producer, Stephen Short, whose backing vocals are featured in the song.

"Last Dance" won an Academy Award, and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song that same year. It won Favourite Disco Single at the American Music Awards and Donna won Favourite Female Disco Artist. She would also win the Grammy Awards for Best R & B Vocal Performance Female for the song. With a #3 peak on the Hot 100 in Billboard magazine in August of 1978, "Last Dance" became Summer's third US Top Ten hit after "Love to Love You Baby" and "I Feel Love" and almost matched the #2 hit "Love to Love You Baby" as Summer's best-charting single (at that time). "Last Dance" also afforded Summer a #5 Hot Soul Singles chart hit and was #1 on Billboard's Hot Disco Action Chart for six weeks eventually being ranked as the #1 Disco hit for the year 1978. Certified gold for sales of a million units in the US,"Last Dance" marked a downturn in Summer's chart fortunes in the UK where she'd previously had more chart impact than in the US with "Last Dance"'s UK chart peak being at #51; Summer would return to the UK Top Ten - at #5 - with her follow-up single "MacArthur Park" a single which afforded Summer her first US #1.
