New Swiss label Rababoo is proud to present his first release: Marcel de Sie 'Uma' EP. Oscillating between melodic industrial and shaky psychedelic music, Mr. de Sie overcomes his first 3 tracks with a static approach of electronic low drifts – in that sense, we decided to call it a soundtrack “to schuss'', in dedication to all label ski friends from here and there. Our pick falls on second track - 'Mezzo FM'' which pitch the tone of the EP and are built as explorations of dance floor narratives and unleashes a cascade of sounds that brings any lost hiker back on track and drives him into a shamanic waltz in the mountains. 
Also joined by Greek producer Anatolian Weapons (Dark Entries) and Belgian’s Victor de Roo (Stroom) for the remixes the 'Uma' EP is a great start for a newly born Swiss label, which, we hope, will delight us with more great releases in the future.

Simon Grab & Francesco Giudici’s ‘[No] Surrender’ is a strong and uncut manifest against social injustices, packed into screaming feedbacks and towering drones. Grab lures tender noises and pulsating frequencies from his fragile no-input-mixing-setup, while Giudici adds linear and visceral guitar drones, opening a dialogue between the two musicians, the room, and the surrounding context. Together, they create a uniquely soft but angry musical creature that feeds from emotions of loss and anger to become a haunting call for change.

The album’s cover presents a portrait of ‘Madame Rochat’ by photographer and film maker Aline d’Auria. The seemingly indestructible concierge was stripped from her home of half a century on the day of her retirement. Still, she persistently continued to fight for the working class’ rights. ‘[No] Surrender’ calls for awareness, resilience, and space for reflections. It’s a story about mankind being trapped in a world poisoned by a failed system of power. It’s an urgent call to overcome the darkness.

Focusing on reduction and the peculiarity of self-referential systems, Simon Grab plays fragile feedbacks, pulsating drones and opulent outbursts of noise on a no-input-mixing setup. His has previously released «Posthuman Species» and «Extinction» on -OUS, while «Diamonds», a collaboration with Togolese rapper Yao Bobby and Asian Dub Foundation’s Dhangsha, came out via LavaLava.

Experimental musician and sociologist Francesco Giudici plays guitar in bands and creates music for films, installations and theatre pieces. He has released three albums with his band ‘Black Fluo’ on PulverUndAsche Records. His research as sociologist and demographer focuses on social and economic inequalities, social gradient in health, gender inequalities, occupational and familiar life trajectories.

Four days spent in seclusion from the rest of the world and eight improvised tracks that were recorded live – that’s «Gysenstein»: a record whose vulnerability and unpredictability mirror the peaceful yet coarse winter environment of the Swiss alps.

Philipp Schlotter’s prepared acoustic piano whose sounds were further modified with effects, oscillates from club sounds to sparkly textures to erratic patterns. These memories reminiscent of the 90’s, interwoven with Fred Bürki’s electronic as well as organic beats, conjure up the duo’s current sonic shape. To collaborate and further expand their universe, the two invited vocalist Anna Aaron from Basel, who then enriched seven of the eight tracks with ethereal voices that masterfully explore a whole spectrum ranging from fluid to structured.

The recording feels like floating on a timeline that stretches and expands, or like a blissful walk on shaky ground.
