Inspired in part by events around the time of the Derek Chauvin trial, to feeling the collective grief of the diaspora - I decided to write a love letter of sorts to my people. I don't think it's a coincidence that this song and the accompanying video drops around the time of Juneteenth.

SB states - "As a child growing up, reggae, rub-a-dub and later soca, dancehall have all held special places and fondness in my heart. I was there for the 90s dancehall invasion that led to many a dancehall/hiphop fusion. Acts like Patra, Maxi Priest, Shabba, Chaka Demus & Pliars, bedazzled my ears on radio. I was present for the early 2000s run of acts like Ce'Cile, Sasha, Kevin Lyttle, Rupee, Beenie, Elephant Man, Sean Paul. So it was that a few years ago after listening to a popular dancehall record at the time, I felt inspired to give honor to the music and culture that has influenced my artistry. I give you, "Tek All Mi Love."
