The EP is rooted in rave music and turns to an old style with a new drive and rhythm. Inspired by Happy Hardcore and combined with the heavy techno of today, the EP is a statement of how our industry has been suppressed and overlooked. But also an opportunity for its rebirth. In recent years it has been watered down and overly structured. With this EP, I'm going back to my rave roots and what I originally produced. The true meaning of music, feeling and togetherness.... Fuck the system

Portuguese based talent, Nørbak returns to Soma with another mind bending release packed with 3 originals and a superbly crafted remix from Spanish techno royalty, Reeko. Since joining up with Soma back in 2020, the young producer has continually upped his game with every release and now drop this 4th EP with the label. 
His Reign Is Over is a fierce yet hypnotic affair, packed with thundering low end and trippy soundscapes. Reeko’s interpretation of the opening track harks back to his earlier, tougher productions yet still retains the hypnotism of Nørbak’s original. Pragmatically Speaking is a proper warped and tripped out number that utilises spacial FX to give it width and depth. Title track, There’s No Lesson, closes out this latest EP from Nørbak with expertly produced drive and aggression balanced against his signature looped out sound.

This is the eighth Pi Electronics vinyl output, coming from the French producer under the project name Elements of Joy. Also known from his techno alias; UVB, this is his industrial/noise influenced project, which only had some limited releases up to date. PI08 is a 5-tracker offering a diverse selection of audio recordings, blending distorted synth pads, hard hitting percussion and processed vocals. Keeping the beats rather slow, PI08 carries a taste of ‘80s, Wave music.
