Ryuji Takeuchi (Local Sound Network / LSN, HueHelix) was born in Osaka, and then first contacted with Electronic Music in the early 90s. In the late 90s, he moved to the United States, where he discovered Techno, House and Electro Music.

As soon as he got back, he started to DJ at several locations and eventually learned to produce at the same time. After that, he released on such labels as: LK Rec, Arms, Mastertraxx, FK Rec, SWR, Innervate, I.CNTRL, Impact Mechanics, Silent Steps, GSR, Brood Audio, to name but a few.

In 2011, Ryuji started his own imprint called 'Local Sound Network / LSN' as a platform for new generation of electronic sound which following words can appropriately describe: driving,hypnotic, atmospheric, emotional, groovy, funky... and any other aspects that rock from brain to the dance floor under the following statement:
From local to global...
It exists in order to inspire the world...

Also, Ryuji kicked off another brand new label called 'HueHelix / HHX' as a new platform, which discloses something new,only represented by HueHelix, together with Go Hiyama, Tomohiko Sagae and Kazuya Kawakami, in order to push quality music with global standard from where sun rises.

In 2012, Ryuji launched 'Local Sound Network Digital Solutions / LSNDS' series in need of discovering and introducing wider range of electronic music, aiming at dropping unique audio output while it's hot. Music style varies. All top quality output from new and established producers all over the world with its bottom line as follows:

TF #194: @nx1-3 [Nexe Records] - Barcelona, Spain.

NX1 is the duo consisting of @surit and Samot (@tomas-b), artists both based out of Barcelona. Formed at the end of 2011 together with his @nexe-records label, they have devoted themselves to a trademark sonic imprint that moves between heavy memories of classic techno to more mental and psychedelic spaces in contemporary sound design. The project contain futuristic aspects propelling themselves forward, while also taking into consideration and expressing modern challenges.

Today they are stablished artists with great contributions on platforms like Mord, Leyla Records, Semantica, BITE and more.

The Forgotten CXCIV: NX1

We begin Issue 02 with French label and live duo Minimum Syndicat, who recorded a rare DJ set. Ray caught up with them for a chat earlier this week...


Hey guys thank you for the mix! Being predominantly a live act, does that reflect on how you put a mix like this together?

MS : I think we approached it in the same way, we try to build our live performances : with a narrative, story-telling and quality. It means different styles and moods, more introspective parts vs full-on sonic onslaughts etc. Also we don't fear to lower the intensity level for a while if it serves the story. Which would be riskier in a gig context...

>Is there a contrast in the sounds and atmosphere you aim to create when playing a club gig compared to the larger events like Soenda and Awakenings?

MS : Not really, i think our sound can work in both contexts. Of course we have tracks that have that big arena feel, but we learnt that even small basements can be turned into a rave cathedral with the right sound system, music and people... or maybe your own home during quarantine ?

>We are loving your recent Underground Activities EP, can you give us hint about any other forthcoming releases on your label and any other new minimum syndicat releases or remixes we should look out for? 

MS : Glad you like it ! Actually we were finishing our first full lenght album before this covid-19 shit hit Europe. Now we'll have to wait for better times to give it the proper release it deserves. We have also some remixes and tracks to come on different labels. Schedules are totally messed up now, so we'll see how it comes.
