Needs continue their journey into the future of vinyl production, partnering with Green Vinyl Records in Holland to produce a 100% recyclable record which now uses 90% less energy cost compared to traditional vinyl production methods. This revolutionary chapter in vinyl history features the production skills of Maara, Priori, Rudolf C & HearThug, with digital exclusives from Adam Curtain, Anastasia Zems, B.AI & Kepplr.

For Needs 010 we welcome yet another all-star lineup of producers from around the world across vinyl and digital formats. Featuring trancey techno from Montreal’s rising star Maara; chuggy, percussive, mysticism from Priori; sultry minimal grooves from Berlin based Rudolf C, and a constantly evolving spacey acid banger from Tunisia’s leading light HearThug. On the digital exclusives, Adam Curtain, Anastasia Zems, B.AI and Keplrr all deliver tracks which traverse the spectrum of electro, house and techno perfectly.

There’s a time for everything. To fill in another piece of the puzzle. To make the matrix make sense. Trying not to hide it, trying not to fight it. Just trying to recognize it and keep on going.
This four-tracker, the first release on Sansibar’s 'Sin Sistema' imprint, borrows the best elements of formulas we love, and for a good reason.

‘We Rise’ a spiraling, mesmerizing infusion of yearning pads and a twisting acidic wormhole that leaves no room for doubt: this is Sans on form, and we have lift-off.

‘Elastic’ continues the lysergic theme, turning the dials towards a more sinister entity. Growing, realizing one’s power, and using it.

And on to the B-side, joining forces with Denzel, becoming ‘Sonic Minds’, getting into Techy territory. This is strictly festival business. Tried and tested throughout summer ’23 to devastating effect. Call an ambulance.

The final track ‘2k’ ups the Tech ante and sprinkles some murky UK Garage dust on top: skippy drums, a bouncy bass section, and dubby atmospheric

"La creación de las aves," the third release from Andy Martin's own imprint, Diaspora Echoes, takes inspiration from the surrealist vibes of Remedios Varo's artwork. Nesa Azadikhah is a DJ, producer, and a leading figure in electronic music, known for her role as founder of Deep House Tehran, which highlights Iran’s vibrant underground culture. Her musical journey began at six with traditional Iranian instruments, evolving into a career that spans techno, house, ambient, and experimental sounds.

Her latest release on Paryìa showcases deep, immersive techno, marked by hypnotic grooves, acid-infused textures, and dynamic rhythms. Rich basslines and intricate patterns define her signature style, blending raw intensity with ethereal elements. Polygonia’s remix adds layered depth, resulting in a captivating collection ideal for late-night sets and immersive dance floors.

Hey this is Skwirl here to gab at you briefly about the records we have coming for this year’s thematic cluster! The theme is Nostalgic Wavs and each record has been linked to a concept under the rather large umbrella of nostalgia as a function of emotional attachment to memory. 


The fourth record for Nostalgic Wavs is Spoke’s endlessly colourful and spirited LP ‘You Make Me Feel Dramatic’ and it’s our Déjà Vu selection.

Déjà Vu is a concept that needs no introduction as an estimated 97 percent of people have experienced it at least once. It is categorised as a strong familiarity with a present situation or experience - to the extent of believing it has been perceived or experienced before - despite it being new. We’ve mapped it as restorative, present, unknowing on our Nostalgic Wavs map.

Spoke is a queer, non binary German producer based in Berlin known most prominently for their blistering hip hop productions that have become a fixture in the international, experimental, and non-traditional fringes of the Berlin Deutschrap scene. Spoke started their musical career as a DJ in Berlin in the late 2000s, amidst a cascade of grime and garage migrating from the UK en route to the thumps and stomps of the techno capital -  that fertile ground of cross pollination and the exciting rise of the German beat scene can still be found reverberating through their work now.


Indeed, when arriving upon what the LP for Woodland Creatures would sound like we found mutual excitement in exploring their roots in club music both classic and contemporary, pop and underground. A stint living in the UK some years back had solidified their love for garage, drum and bass and the wider UK funky continuum; and, this merged with a keen infatuation with stateside movements like jersey house, juke and footwork in the years since moving back to Berlin - all culminating in a collision of style, sounds and ethos that had been percolating in them for quite some time. 

The result is ‘You Make Me Feel Dramatic’, a punchy, short and sweetly diaphanous transatlantic club scene love letter born of Spoke’s personal journey and subterranean explorations which is brimming with immediacy, life, colour and aimed squarely at breathless sweaty dancefloor workouts. Spoke’s authentic filtering of inspirations and synthesised style mashups yields a record that feels impossibly familiar - like club joints you could swear you know but are of course brand new - and speaks of a producer poised to take the audience on a personal journey they might not expect but one that is kaleidoscopic, spritely, infectious, and just flat out fun.

Stojche - Thug Life EP (Infiltrate 06) 12''

Cross-border wiring in the studio for the new RFR release! Russia and Georgia share their musical conscience and deliver a fine split EP for cat. no. 16. RNBWS just recently caused a sensation with new tracks on RFR, and we already know Generali Minerali from his first release for RFR X. So now it’s about to time to melt their creative spirit into a collective EP on vinyl.

Generali Minerali and his army occupy the a-side. “Mars Generation” is musical terraforming in its purest form. Minimally crafted electro, a shot of acid and well-placed melodic patterns are the main ingredients for a magnificent opener.

“Dry Water” sticks with the electro leitmotiv. Compared to the A1 we find a closer reference to the dance floor, meandering scanner sounds and a snare, that keeps slapping constantly. This is how we like it!

On the b-side RNBWS carry on where Generali Minerali and his troops had left the battlefield. “Galaxy” opens the doors to an interplanetary round dance, the place where mind and body join together in the sense of classic electro.

“Nothing but Hardcore” needs no further explanation. UK hardcore in its most beautiful garments, which is so characteristic for RNBWS’ tracks. Interwoven by electro elements, who get to the heart of this EP in terms of stringency.
