Patrick Topping announces ‘Trick Presents Lethal Bangers Vol. 1’ 

Trick label boss Patrick Topping recruits a host of modern dance music’s most exciting talents for ‘Trick Presents Lethal Bangers Vol. 1’, the imprint's latest compilation. Showcasing his knack for A&R and keenness on pushing fresh talent, the roster contains numerous first-timers on the label as well as returning fan favourites. 

“To be fair, all these could have been A sides, they are that good! I’m buzzing to unleash these 19 bangers on the world. The variety in sounds is what Trick is all about, but they are all connected with a certain energy and distinction. Obviously, I’m biased, but I do think this compilation is unlike any other VA I’ve heard, and I’m really proud of it. It’s mainly an eclectic selection of house and techno, but there are a couple of cheeky Makina tunes thrown in at the end, for the craic! It's the first time Trick’s released Makina music, but the quality of the other 17 house and techno tracks, makes me think there’s the freedom to do so. Hopefully people enjoy them as much as I’ve enjoyed playing them out.” - Patrick Topping.

From the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, DJ & Producer Scarda is rapidly making a name for himself in the local circuit. Since young, Scarda has taken an aspiration in musical knowledge and production, with his past showing talent in playing both guitar and piano before discovering the electronic dance scene. Since then, he has worked hard to draw inspiration from sounds both near in Australia and abroad, to develop over the last few years to what is now his highly informed knowledge of both production and DJing. Taking sources of inspiration from the current underground and minimal house scene right across the world continues to inform his musical style. Hypnotic basslines, tripped-out vocal cuts and groovy tech sounds formulate Scarda’s production, mirroring the best in the minimal house scene with his own unique spin. Alongside his production, Scarda is a popular fixture at various clubs in and around Melbourne, mainly showcasing his own unreleased work as he plays. With a long-standing residency under Melbourne party imprint Cave Sessions, he also holds a multitude of other club shows under his belt including a frequent residency at Circus Bar. Scarda is not one to keep your eyes off - a continual rise in both production and DJing shows a promising future ahead for him
