Scarlet Sails is a statement. Scarlet Sails is based on believing. Scarlet Sails is about love. It's about what you want and about ways to find it. It's about following through and sticking to your true self. It's about engaging with the ones you love and surrounding yourself with what you love. It's about loving yourself and giving yourself enough. Treating yourself the way you should and not being afraid to move forward. It's about cutting off all that you don't need and loading off the burden brought on to you by society and people who live by inertia.
It's about a girl who decided not to wait for her boat and her dreams to sail to her but to build that boat herself and make her dreams come true by sailing it. It's about taking your life in your own hands and making it colorful. It's about being brave. It's about being honest. It's about knowing what you want, going for it and rocking it.

Home For Christmas

Indie rock band with a soul and attitude. 
Olya took a leap of faith when at twenty-one she left Moscow for New York City with just a backpack and a dream of making music. Landing on the Lower East Side, she immersed herself in the city’s music scene playing keyboard and touring with Jesse Malin, sharing the stage with Urge Overkill, Clem Burke (Blondie), Wayne Kramer. It was after a show at a rock club on the Bowery that Olya met drummer Brian Viglione (Dresden Dolls, Violent Femmes, Nine Inch Nails), a meeting that would prove to be fateful for both of them. 

Their chemistry was immediate with Brian bringing life to the songs that Olya had been writing. Before long, the two formed Scarlet Sails, rounding out the line up with guitarist Mark Kohut and bassist Dave Lowenthal. Centered around Olya’s sultry, power-house vocals, Scarlet Sails craft an elaborate blend of rock & pop, with uniquely catchy melodies, passionate and reflective lyrics and an undeniable swagger that has drawn comparisons to artists as diverse as David Bowie, Nico, Radiohead and Oasis. 

In April 2017 Scarlet Sails released their debut Future from the Past to critical acclaim, with Consequence of Sound premiering the album and Impose Magazine lauding the band’s “pure rock n’ roll vibes”. The band supported the release with three national tours and a New Year's Eve show in Moscow. 

January 2018 saw Scarlet Sails head back to the studio with producer, Ben Rice (Norah Jones, The Candles, Elliot & the Ghost) to begin work on a series of singles, with the first “Hideaway” set for an April 13th release.
