I finally finished this!! A track an entire YEAR in the making! I worked on implementing elements of rock, electronic and dubstep to create this glorious remix of my best friend RedWire's Original Mix - Final Stand, which you can check out the original track at his channel here:

This is a much heavier, more personal, meaningful track than I usually post... It's basically a story of my struggles with mental illness and my reflection and memories of the past, knowing that while I'll never be the same again, I still have a hopeful future to look forward to, despite the pain, loss, and suffering I endured and likely will endure in the future.

The song ends somewhat incompletely for two reasons:

1. It represents the fact that this isn't over and will continue for years to come

2. It's also a background track that I'll use looped in my videos on my YouTube channel in the future

Reflections And Remembrance

Well here's a project I've been working on for quite a while... Have the incredibly epic result of a year of composing music!

I started this when me and some of my best friends and family began working on (And are still working on here and there) a fan-made video game based off the amazing book series Warriors, by Erin Hunter. (Or in other countries, known as Warrior Cats)

This was going to eventually make into the game as soundtrack for RiverClan's Camp theme, as well as the theme for RiverClan in general.

And, considering the Warrior Cats MOVIE is now an official thing (News update when?), why not upload all my warriors inspired music that I've been working on?!? :D XD

So-! Place yourself directly in the middle of RiverClan's camp, and imagine the daily routines: A hunting patrol returning from a great catch of fish, the kits rambunctiously playing around while the queens keep careful watch, the apprentices learning new battle moves with their mentors, the medicine cat collecting herbs, and the regal clan leader calling every cat to a meeting!

RiverClan's Camp - A Warrior Cats inspired soundtrack

This is a recent piece I wrote for piano, marimba and vibraphone. The story behind it is basically my longing and hope for the future and the aspirations I hope to achieve, but put into passionate, beautiful musical imagery.

This picture of Mt. Fuji really has nothing to do with the piece other than I love mountains, travel and adventure, and took this while on an amazing tour to Japan with the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony.

Hopes, Dreams, and Aspirations

Hiya everypony! So I decided to try something WAY outta my normal style, something completely and utterly different, but it turned out as epic as anything else I write! :D XD

Behold! My FIRST ELECTRONIC COMPOSITION EVER!! B)

Basically, I took Finale's default Synthesizer, Fusion Drum Kit and Electronic Drum Kit sounds, and some extra VST plugin Synths I found for free, and whipped this baby together: Fireworks Sandwich.

Don't let the title throw you off, it may be abstract, but it still makes sense. There's a certain explosive atmosphere to the track, with wubs and bass galore (That's the Fireworks part) and then I sandwiched the first 2 themes repeated together with a more smooth, sparkling type section, hence the sandwich...

That's mah metaphor an' imma stickin' to it!

Howdy everyone!

Here's something that I wrote last year (2015), and never got performed, but I still love how it turned out. I needed to practice writing music for smaller ensembles and instrumentation so it could be more easily rehearsed and performed, and this is one of those types of works.

String Quartet #1 - Extemporaneous Soundscapes has 3 movements:

Movement 1 - Spontaneous Starfall:

A fast-paced almost dance like movement in an irregular metric rhythm gives this section a feeling of explosive sparkle, as if stars and meteors are falling from a night sky in beautiful streaks of multicolored light.

Movement 2 - Amorous Firmament:

A beautiful, soaring, singing melody and lush, rich chords bring this movement to life. Imagine a person you love more than anyone else in the world next to you while studying the most clear, glittering, phenomenal skies you've ever seen.

Movement 3 - Starlight Fireworks:

Back into the dance like theme from the first movement, you and your special one are caught up in a display of shimmering emotions and wonderful fireworks that fill the same sky you were previously admiring... let your heart soar and your worries vanish into a blissful dance!

The picture is of the Bahamas as I took off in an airplane upon returning from a missions trip. I figured it looked sky-ish enough and fit the piece. :)

Thunderclan's Camp - A Warrior Cats inspired soundtrack

Heyo fellow Bronies, Pegasisters and MLP fans! This is my 1ST ever MLP fan-made original track!

I hope you enjoy it! I based it off of some voice samples from the episode "Green Isn't Your Color" from Season 1. It's basically a track where Fluttershy lets out her frustration at the whole fashion business situation with Rarity.

The Thing at The Place

The picture somewhat reflects the mood of this piece, but not completely.
I based this loosely off of Erik Satie's Gymnopedie No. 1. One of my favorite impressionistic classical piano pieces out there.
Then as I was writing, it slowly became more jazzy, with a hint of blues, until the middle section, which reflects the more regal, glorious moments of the past. Perhaps an epic achievement or accomplishment!

So enjoy! As I take you to those afternoon sits by the window, looking out over the peaceful scenery, reflecting on life and where yours had been, with a bittersweet sadness. :')

SPOILERS FOR WARRIOR CATS BOOK #6 - THE DARKEST HOUR!:



This scene.... this made me cry.... such a heavy, heartbreaking scene.... All because Tigerstar was bent on total domination of the clans, he made Blackfoot kill an innocent, loyal RiverClan warrior who was only standing up for the poor half-clan apprentices, Stormpaw and Featherpaw, simply because he believed the Warrior Code was loyalty to a fault... :'(

Hope you enjoy picturing this scene from that book, starting at the beginning (Tigerstar confronting the half-clan cats) to the final battle where Stonefur ultimately died to protect the innocent from TigerClan's wrath... I put a lot of intense instrumentation into this one, figured it'd be an epic style change to show a different mood of music.
