Scarlet Anger is a Luxembourgish Thrash Metal band, founded in 2007 by vocalist Joe Block and guitarist Fred Molitor. Their first gigs were followed quite quickly by the release of a first EP, called „La Realidad Es Triste...“, whose successor „Kill The King“ made the band noticeable on an international level for the first time.

Being more aggressive and faster than its predecessor, „Kill The King“ didn't just earn a lot of critical acclaim but also gained the attention of the German label Dust On The Tracks Records. This led to a worldwide record deal for the first album „Dark Reign“, which was mastered by Jeff Waters and released by Dust On The Tracks Records in May 2012. Scarlet Anger presented their new album on numerous small and established festivals like the Durbuy Rock Festival and the Extremefest.

In between their shows, Scarlet Anger started gathering first ideas for the successor to „Dark Reign“. Classic eighties and nineties comics and horror stories served as their main inspiration for what would later become their second album „Freak Show“. Mastered by Jens Bogren, the new album has a more melodic approach. It will be released on March 18th 2016 via Hänsel & Gretel / MIG Music.

01 New God Rising

Scarlet Anger is a luxembourgish Thrash Metal band which was founded in 2007 by vocalist Joe Block and guitarist Fred Molitor. They have yet released a demo as well as 2 EPs. In 2007, their first EP „La realidad es triste“ was released and allowed them to play numerous gigs such as Wacken Open Air Metal Battle 2010 in Luxembourg, Food For Your Senses which is the biggest, 3 days lasting open air in Luxembourg. Moreover, they were supporting the german metal act Primal Fear.
 
In 2011, their second EP „Kill the King“ was released and could achieve lots of critical acclaim, such as (freely translated):

In concerns of soli and leads, the band delivers a tight and cleverly worked out job. Moreover, Scarlet Anger had the chance to present themselves on a whole page in July/August N.135 edition of HEAVY Magazine.
 
In 2011, Scarlet Anger won the voting price of Netrock Contest, where they got the most votings between 30 bands and reached the first place.
 
„Kill the King“ allowed the band to get a deal with German label DUST ON THE TRACKS. Moreover they had lots of interviews with most of Luxembourg's newspapers and radio stations such as RTL Radio, DNR, Radio Ara. Of course, they played lots of gigs.
 
At the moment, they are back in studio where they are working hard on their new album, which is scheluded for next year and will be released in cooperation with the label DUST ON THE TRACKS, so you can get it in the shops.
