Park Shadow is the project of Finnish producer Joonas Lehtinen, a figure whose roots stretch back to the late '90s tracker era. A very personal vision of drum and bass, this project reflects a balance between natural formlessness and urban grit.

With previous releases across the scene, Park Shadow arrives on Metalheadz with the 'Altitudez EP'. Goldie's interest in the title track set the course for an EP that draws on the roots of jungle and drum & bass while exploring its outer edges.

Across its four tracks, the EP unfolds as a journey - beginning in foggy melancholy, shifting into bittersweet, rave-charged energy, rising toward brighter, more uplifting tones and closing with an almost dreamlike sense of release. Breakbeat-heavy throughout, the 'Altitudez EP' is a release that carries the spirit of jungle into new terrain.

Marie Wilhelmine Anders returns with ‘Fire Remixes’, taken from her magnificent ‘Travels’ album on Broque 136. The original already blurred the lines between Drum & Bass and Techno, and now four heavyweight producers reimagine it for the dancefloor.

88 Katanas and Offish deliver dark, industrial power, drawing on the fierce energy of late 90s techstep legends like Ed Rush and Optical. Illuvia and Art Cuebik head the other way, diving into lush atmospheres and rolling breaks inspired by LTJ Bukem’s golden era.

Together, these remixes ignite every corner of the genre, celebrating both history and innovation with style and precision.

Thomas B makes a long-awaited return to Plush Recordings after more than a decade, delivering a fierce two-track release that captures both intensity and finesse in equal measure.

‘Heat Dome’ opens with shimmering textures and rich, layered leads before diving headfirst into a flurry of amen-driven percussion and thick, rattling basslines built for late-night sessions. Its weighty energy is balanced by a precise sense of movement, keeping the pressure high from start to finish.

On the flip, ‘A Friend’ takes things in a more introspective direction, blending liquid atmospherics with techno-inspired drive. Powered by crisp 808 kicks and claps, it drifts through lush stereo pads and a hypnotic lead that evolves subtly as the tune unfolds.

A triumphant return for Thomas B, proving once again that his sound remains as bold and boundary-pushing as ever.

Andrei Duruș, professionally known as Scatterbrain, is a talented Romanian drum & bass producer and DJ with an impressive track record, having released music on well-regarded labels including Galacy, Fokuz, and Rene LaVice's DeVice. His unique sound is influenced by industry pioneers such as Technimatic, Netsky, and Calibre, blending technical skill with creativity.

In 2024, Andrei marked a major milestone by performing his debut international gig in Prague, adding to his growing presence in Romania at iconic venues such as Arenele Romane, Expirat, and Club Quantic. In 2025, he played at Electric Castle Festival, the place where he fell in love with drum & bass in 2016, this marking a major milestone for his artistic career.  With each new release, Scatterbrain continues to solidify his standing in the drum & bass scene, and his passion for innovation promises an exciting future in the electronic music industry.
