Whenever you see someone pursuing a dream, do everything you can to help him. This is an intro theme I made for the vlog of one of my best friends, Kiliaan, who started a months long roadtrip through South America. An idea that started as a simple journey report, quickly evolved in a very well scripted and extremely funny vlog, filled with stunning pictures. As the script became more and more complex, the need for specific moods started to become more apparant, and we had a blast going for extra sound design, and adapting this first original theme into different variations for the subsequent vlogs. What you hear here, is the original theme that started it all. Upbeat and edgy, like the man and his journey.

A Fix of Kix - Theme for the 'Kix se Casse' Vlog

This rocking tune can be found on the 'Kix vous emmène dans la Basilica del Voto' -vlog from the Kix se Casse series. 
Briefing for this one? Something 'Eye of the tiger'-y, wich builds up to emphasize how tough the journey is becoming throughout the vlog.

Fever of Heights

An evil twin for Kix? That requires an evil twin to the theme for the vlog. 
As the script evolved in the 'Cómo es qué?'-part of the vlog, we thought it would be cool to have the theme evolve a bit as well.
Meet 'The Mofo's Mojo', the badass counterpart of the 'A fix of Kix'-theme, introduced a few episodes before (which you can also find below). 
(In the meantime, for marketing reasons, the vlog was renamed from 'Kix se casse' (Meaning 'Kix splits') to 'Kix vous emmène' (Meaning 'Kix takes you on a journey').

The Mofo's Mojo

This time, Kix did a special episode of his blog, taylor made for the Belgian Radio Channel Pure FM, and their Snooze show. 
He was interviewed by the team, and this vlog was played live on the air. For this vlog, he needed something upbeat, so I wrote and recorded a funky theme for the occasion, called 'Midday's Delight', or Deleite de Mediodia. Let's hope it got people listening in while driving to work in a good mood!

Deleite de Mediodia

"Poles Collide" was used for a trailer for a series of "Kix Vous Emmène"vlogs about Peru. 
If you listen closely, you'll hear that it's the "A fix of Kix"-theme, only adapted for an orchestra.
It was the first time I did a full symphonic piece of music like this, and I had an absolute blast (re)composing and recording this.

'Packing Track' was used for the first episode ('Les Ruines Chan Chan') of a new sub-series in the 'Kix vous Emmène'-vlog, named 'Vamonos'. It gives a nice uplifting yet laid back mood to an exploring journey.

Packing Track

This soundtrack was written for a video documenting the fantastic training 'Architect van je Organisatie', by Philippe Bailleur/Living Systems Coaching. People were interviewed about what the training had brought them, and it was a very nice exercise to try and translate the feeling of their testimony, as well as the build up of the message.

The Second Flight

This soundtrack was written for a video documenting the training 'Architect van je Organisatie', by Philippe Bailleur. 'The Second Landing' is a variation on 'The Second Flight', specifically to serve as a soundtrack for the solo-interviews.
