Mix number 10 is up, and this time we have a dear friend of ours from India. One of our favorite mixes and the most influential one, as we've discovered a brand new scene and producers thanks to our friend Aniket. 

Aniket Dabholkar a.k.a. Full Motion Disaster (also known as FMD) is the owner and chief operator of Filth Inc. - a record label and promotional channel based out of Mumbai, India, that's carved a name for itself by premiering/releasing quality Lo-Fi House over the past 2.5 years as well as music from accompanying styles such as Ghetto House, Ghettotech, Electro, Breaks, UKG and Trance. One could best sum FMD up as a producer, DJ and a label owner. He also works as a project manager in the videogame industry.

Whilst studying in Newcastle Shawn immersed himself into the underground community, co-founding his own night “Quest 800” alongside Dufraine & Patrick Smith. The event series hosted a variety of top-tier artists in intimate spaces. Over the years we joined the Quest 808 crew at the likes of Jensen Interceptor, Solid Blake, Radioactive Man, Carista and Byron the Aqaurius. Shawn and the team focused on providing a party where people feel free and unrestricted by the stresses and barriers we all face in our day-to-day lives. 

Alongside his party-starting tendencies, Shawn has developed his now distinctively deranged production and DJ style. Releasing on International Chrome, Childsplay and appearing on Rinse FM. With a recent move into London, Shawn offers 1-1 production tutorials, sample packs and mastering service. We have witnessed the rapid progression of this young artist and we know Shawn will not let up anytime soon.

A collaboration between poet and visual artist Manon Alla and producer Damian Concrete, Ecran Noir is the first release in the new series of digital EPs from Paris-area label Syrinx Music, following two limited-edition V/A vinyl releases. In the matter of 4 tracks, Ecran Noir melts both artists’ universes, as well as breakbeat & poetry.
Opening track “Elle Fera La Morte” immediately displays these aesthetics: breaks and poetry complement each other, Manon Alla’s words and voice amplifying Damian Concrete’s production’s expressive values. In return, Damian Concrete creates a striking atmosphere, on which Manon Alla’s extimate poetry finds new depths. Reaching uptempo, “Ecran Noir” goes even further: just as Damian Concrete’s breaks, Manon Alla’s voice is fragmented, recomposed, in an ideal fusion of both dimensions. “Coeur Sclérosé” keeps the intensity high, while final track “P.S.” shows us the darker side of this collaboration, with music and voice marching together.
Ecran Noir was built after Manon Alla & Damian Concrete met each other of Toulouse-based webradio Egregore in 2020. It is based on words that are to come on Manon Alla’s poetry book, Le Ciel a besoin d’espace: this EP was an opportunity for her to experiment with other dimensions of her poetry, and work on the sonic aspect of her words. A member of the Sons of Achab duo, Damian Concrete is used to expressive productions working at the crossroads of styles. As a whole, Ecran Noir resonates with Syrinx Music’s aesthetics: an open conception of electronic music, in the middle between the club & the laboratory.

Our next VA pulls threads from Manchester, Lyon, New York, and Bristol; a cross-continental snapshot of the sounds shaping our world right now.

It opens in the shadows, with Steel Traxx and Product Toss delivering slow, murky cuts that set the foundation: heavy, cracked, and full of tension.

Things begin to shift as Manami, Maelita, and Mattik push into bass-driven territory. Low ends are refracted through their own lenses, building pressure and colour as the record unfolds.


The tone lifts as Sempra delivers UK-funky flair, all bright percussion and magical flute runs cutting through the weight. From there, disctr4k brings bumpy NY-garage-flavoured house, full of swing and cheeky momentum, before Direct Function closes the journey with warm, dub-soaked atmospheres that linger long after the final note.

A full-spectrum Skiptrace release — built from community, curiosity, and shared movement.

All proceeds from the release will be donated to Medical Aid for Palestinians.
