Hello everyone!! You are tuned in once again to our exclusive weekly Progcast, time to turn up the volume and get ready for another awesome DJ mix. 

We are continuing our tour of England and it seems only fitting that we visit Manchester, home of many a world class DJ. He has an outstanding reputation amongst the free party scene, and has delivered us a mix made solely of his own reworks and remixes, including a special one off for us! Make some noise for GoneWest!

GoneWest (James West) is a genre-defiant DJ and Producer from Manchester, influenced by a variety of underground artists, labels, club nights and festivals. 

In his mid-teens, James went from being a metalhead to discovering a love for electronic music through the likes of The Prodigy, James Holden, Aphex Twin and Infected Mushroom. He cut his teeth at dubstep raves in Manchester before he could even get into a club, and when he did, it was the legendary Tangled in Manchester.

James's first started DJing at Psy-Trance parties, mostly in the forests of North Wales and, once he started getting deeper into the scene, quickly held residencies at both Crystal Kids and Elemental, held in Manchester and Leeds respectively.

He has supported some big names in the psychedelic scene, such as Infected Mushroom, Ace Ventura, Avalon, GMS and Juno Reactor. He has played at festivals like Illusive, Anthropos, Solfest and Transition, held in Spain.

James is constantly searching for deep, melodic, progressive and psychedelic techno sounds to use in his DJ sets, remixes and productions. In this mix he uses unreleased, brand new material apart from the first track which was released on Bandcamp.
