Max developed the idea of combining electronic sounds from the DJ with live music elements.

In 2005 Max and his partner Michael Schallmayer set the initial idea into action and founded the crossover project called ‘VienaLoco’. You can arrange DJ and musicians just as you like, whereas the DJ is fixed and you can choose among artists playing instruments such as transverse flute, sax, clarinet, (latin) percussion, djembe or talking drums.

Since then this international combo infects their audience with a totally loco sound crossing genres from disco, funk, house, deep house, acid jazz, afro/latin/tribal, electrofunk and tech house by combining the instruments in the most harmonic way possible. Well, it is definitely quality you get, when you put together artists with over ten years of band experience. 

Not only they play well-known tracks, ‘VienaLoco’ also beautifies the setlists with their own compositions to then drift off into their special freestyle performance.

The funky and foxy artitsts around Max Doblhoff, Ba Ousmane and Karim Thiam Tama, coming from Senegal, team up with the local artists Stoney the Flute, Funky George, Sascha Strohmaier and Spanish rooted Sabbas Muck to serve you excellent and crazy food for funk!

Und das nicht, weil er sonderlich sperrig wäre, ganz im Gegenteil –– purer Umfang und Diversität machen ihn zu einem Format der Extraklasse. Dreams actually come true ✨

Everything started almost 7 years ago, when I got inside legendary club Kater Blau for the first time and started dreaming about maybe being able to play here some day.

Last Friday I had the chance of finally doing it and I’m beyond excited to share the recording with you all. 

I will always keep it in my memory. The dance floor was filled with beautiful and smiling faces, what an energy! A huge THANK YOU goes to every single person that was there dancing and making it so special 💛

Thank you Astrid and Cami for throwing such a legendary birthday gathering!

Hello, Moin und Ahoi Daunelovers!

Obwohl die Flügel heut ganzschön steif waren, die Federn besonders zerzaust waren und der schöne Parkettboden mehr vom ersten Kaffee hatte als wir, ist das Gemüt heut softer als 'n Babypopo. 
Warum fragt ihr? 
Na weil uns die Berliner Dauntempo-Chefköchin Katschinka (@katschikatinka) heut n Frühstücksschmankerl gezaubert hat, das seinesgleichen sucht. Da wird jede noch so geschmacksbefreite Gans zur Connaisseur*in. 
Also: Raus aus den Federn, Kaffee ran und Boxen aufdrehen!

1.  Wie sieht deine Morgenroutine aus, falls du eine hast?
Ich wecke meinen Hund mit einer Kuschel-Attacke und verschwinde dann für eine Stunde im Park.

2.  Hast du ein musikalisches guilty-pleasure?
Man könnte es durchaus erwähnen, dass ich 15 Jahre lang Polka-, Marsch-, und Filmmusik in einem Orchester gespielt habe. Man betone das Wort „habe“!

3.  In welchem Genre warst du als Teenie zuhause?
