The closing set at the Varden stage is always a special time; Filled with excitement, tears, hugs, and exhaustion, it marks the end of four incredible days at Monument Festival.

This year Japanese maestro Wata Igarashi stepped up and delivered a legendary closing set. A psychedelic vortex of sound thundered across the forest as the dance floor was illuminated in radiant colors and fog, with smiling faces and dancing bodies all around. 

So find your best headphones or sit down in front of your speakers, turn it up, and time travel back to the Forgotten Valley. Guided by our friend, Wata Igarashi. Enjoy.

Monument Festival 2024 : Wata Igarashi

After years of crafting tracks in the shadows, Dreimal T finally brings his @scheißmukke sound to the club. For this highly anticipated debut, he’s gone all-in, hauling half of his studio setup into the basement of @tresorberlin. Tom-Tino delivered an authentic, raw live performance for our 2nd edition of New-Faces.

Expect a pure old-school vibe straight from his machines, channeling the essence of timeless techno. His set will journey through House, Acid House, Techno, Ghetto, Electro, and Minimal, offering a straight-to-the-point techno experience.

This isn’t just a live set – it’s the result of countless hours frying his brain in his bedroom studio, now unleashed on the dancefloor.

Dreimal T ( live ) @Tresor Berlin

Luxembourg’s Ogazón (of Nathalie Ogazón Faber) followed her studies to the Netherlands and fell deep down the rabbit hole of Amsterdam nightlife, Trouw she recounts as transformative. Enough so that she followed that thread starting in the mid 2010s as neophyte DJ before upping sticks for Berlin a few years later. There, her passion for digging and upbeat outlook landed her in Ryan Elliot’s sights, a partnership that’s taken B2B form on more than a few occasions and led to further work with fellow blue chipper Marcel Dettmann (she signed to his agency in 2023). These days Ogazón’s sound is spreading to the pace of its rapid tempo, and her schedule’s all the more punishing for it. Dekmantel, Awakenings, DGTL, Berghain, Robert Johnson, the list gets longer. Refusing trivial categorisations, her work pivots between groovy house and austere techno, bringing together various influences (the ambient inclinations of Sofia Coppola she also cites) and keeping her vision broad. For Bassiani Podcast 241 she errs on the side of techno, delivering a profound two-hour mix that marches unrepentantly forward, zipping from ascetic track to track and building an atmosphere thick with subtle detail. This is deep, utilitarian techno for unsettled times and Ogazón leads the way.

Next up comes Canadian-born polymath Darwin, who’s been getting Berliners talking ever since she kicked off her event series REEF back at now defunct venue Griessmühle. Tired of providing partygoers with the same formulaic sounds they’d come to expect, she started to play around with others, dubstep and bass among them. It was a fresh approach that through persistence ended up paying off with a form that’s as animate, subaquatic and essential to its surroundings as the ocean reefs that inspired the name. A UK-leaning sound, that pays homage to breaks, drum n bass and garage and fuses it with a techno more indicative of her chosen digs. Nowadays that approach has really gained traction and her parties blossomed into something much larger, encompassing her own selections, whether at UNFOLD or closing Berghain’s Klubnacht, as well as the launch of her SPE:C imprint. Her loose selection and low-end frequencies are a modern take on a long tradition of rumbling bass and out-and-out techno, brought together with a killer instinct for the hourly requirements of a dancefloor with high expectations. Following on from her previous techno stints at Bassiani, Podcast 251 further explores this side and delves back into her roots; a studio mix brought to you from this true pioneer, mastered by bestie Esposito.

We’re happy to look back at a truly memorable night: On March 12th, 2025, we hosted our latest edition of New Faces at the legendary Tresor Berlin – with an opening set by our dear friend SXCL that set the tone beautifully.

Starting the night with raw, clashy techno energy, SXCL wove in timeless Detroit elements while steadily pushing the tempo forward. The percussive, fast-paced flow created just the right momentum for what was to come.

Not just an opening – but a strong introduction. Focused, unfiltered, and in line with what Scheißmukke is all about.

Looking back on March 12th at @tresorberlin, we’re glad to share another highlight from that night.

Our member Schönfeld took on closing duties, guiding the floor through the final stretch with precision and patience. His set unfolded gradually, leaning into murky textures, tight percussion, and just the right amount of pressure to hold the room.

A low-key but confident finish – no theatrics, just a clear sense of direction. Exactly how we like it.
