Après le succès de leur premier EP qui a été épuisé en un mois, Cotonete revient avec leur  second vinyle (d'une serie de trois).

Constitué de membres des groupes Akalé Wubé (Ethio Jazz), Camarao Orchestra (Brésil) et le pianiste Florian Pellissier, ce nouvel EP contient le titre "Earth overshoot day" ainsi que des remixes par Hugo LX, Vox Low et Patrice Scott.

Comme son premier volet le disque sera disponible dans un packaging vinyle Deluxe (Pochette et OBI japonais, vinyle 180g) et en édition limitée à 500 exemplaires, en collaboration avec le disquaire parisien, habitué des ondes du Mellotron, Heartbeat vinyl.

Aujourd'hui on vous propose de découvrir en exclusivité le remix de Hugo LX, résolument taillé pour les dancefloors, avant sa sortie digitale officielle le 28 juillet.

Ferdinand's SP House (featured on GTVA 1) is a raw cut groove straight out of the SP, crafted by Munich based producer Ferdinand Domes. With his experience producing different styles from Noise to Techno - Ferdinand crafts the most experimental patterns and grooves; defining his unique sound signature.

Thanks to @brokendistrict for letting us premiere "Infinitives" from danish producer @jeppewolmer.
"Infinitives" is one of the tracks that compose the EP "Brokenbits vol.1" soon to be released on vinyl and digital. It's a track that has a nice Jack J touch for those who know. It's deep, well crafted but airy at the same time. A great piece of music to enjoy any time, any day.

One of our platform's favourite producers, the Finnish sensation Saine, is back to grace our ears with some new original music. It feels as if we haven't heard from him in a while. Maybe it's because the year 2020 has been so chaotic. He has done a number of remixes over the past year (one that's just about to be released as well) and let's not forget his beat tape released in May of last year. Regardless, we're happy to get our ears on some of this new material and happier still to bring it to you today.
The Cherish EP is self-released by the producer. One of his greatest loves is sampling and it's clear that he's got a knack for chopping up parts of obscure records and reinventing them into something completely new. He doesn't simply use these samples as is but takes his time, cuts them up, rearranges and finds other samples that go with them to create a truly new and unique piece. Despite all that, simplicity is still the key to his success and even with the level of detail put in, the final product's appeal is the effortless marriage of said elements into a glossy new composition.

The release is a tribute to the class 90's hip-hop sound with it's big rumbling kicks, dusty horn and piano samples and rumbling bass. Crooks and Lowdown are definitely the heftier tracks on the EP, the likes of which we haven't seen from Saine in a couple of years at least. Our premiere track Cherish is just a bit lighter with its mellower, trippy horns, jovial melodies and easy-going percussion. This friends, is vintage Saine. The final track on the EP, Finesse, is perfectly titled and would have found a good home on his beat tape last year (those strings though wow!).

Fear not wax collectors as this is not it for Saine this year, he's got something else coming out soon. Needless to say, we all know what 2020 has been like for musicians. Please buy and support the music if you have the means to do so. The Cherish EP is out now on Bandcamp and will be available for streaming this coming Friday.
