Ice Breakers Ball has become an institution for those of us who live in San Francisco and love breaks. It was an honor to be invited by my good friends, the Janky Barge, once again to play the eighth renewal of Ice Breakers this year. Big thanks to Robbie Kowal, Steve Kirchner and to all my Janky friends for having me. And last but not least, thanks to the legendary DJ Icey for coming out to San Francisco to grace the decks at Ice Breakers again this year. Happy 2014, Everyone! 

As a member and resident of Space Cowboys, DJ Zach Moore spins events from San Francisco to the Black Rock Desert to New York City and beyond. Zach has played epic, sold-out events like Outside Lands, Burning Man, Treasure Island Music Festival, Lightning in a Bottle, PEX Summer Fest, GhostShip and the legendary Breakfast of Champions. These days, Zach's live sets are mostly packed with party rockin' breaks, but his love of electronic music starts with house and spans many of the subgenres, including deep, vocal, tech, progressive, and electro. Zach is also known as the creator of The Armory Podcast and for his work on The RIPEcast, the Space Cowboys' Breakspoll-nominated, electronic music podcast.

Janky Barge Podcast Vol. 12 - Zach Moore - Live At Icebreakers Ball 2014

On the A-side of the Artist with the Joker mask presents the track "Knocking Birds". The high-tech minimal, as Brejcha describes his music himself, comes along a little dark. Sporadic bell ringing and spherical passages are combined and the beats evoke the idea of knocking birds. The B-side „LSD-Waterpipe“ begins with a increased heart rate, which harmonizes perfectly with the bush drums. From there it atmospherically goes on a space safari until the elevated pulse kicks in again.
With the intelligent sound design of "Club Vibes Part 4" the dance floors of the world can be conquered.

Schini, also known as Schinowatz was born in 1980 in Salzburg / Austria. Schini started sampling & remixing in the early 90´s by using a turntable and two tapedecks, to perform as a DJ in 1996 and creating his own Sound since 2002. His musical background was based in the lifestyle “BBoying” – as a BBoy he learned a lot about good Music, different Rhythms and rare Breaks. So he started digging Records, learning turntabelism & sound producing and spent a lot of time to find, create and mix all kinds of genres & grooves.
