Sunshine 2025 - Electric Love 10th anniversary Wormhole set

It is my pleasure to share my set for this year! 

What a special experience it was playing a 3:30AM Dome set on Sunday morning! Thank you for all of you that were there and brought your energy! It was electrifiying and it carried me through this set!

 This was one of my favorite sets I've ever played. I was fully immersed in a flow state and went through this emotional journey alongside all of you. My heart is full so thank you!  

I will carry this spark with me during my travels

Here it is — an early morning love letter to Jamaican music, one of the enduring loves of my life. Best listened to with the woofer's woofin' 🔊

At times I serenaded you with soulful reggae; at times, I shelled you with basslines — all straight from my tender heart to yours. Massive thanks to the Akisq’nuk First Nation, the Wicked Woods crew, and ever-expanding gratitude to Indigogh (Jackson), who mastered a track the night before I left for the Woods of Whimsy — so I could bathe the forest creatures in proper root chakra frequencies.

Check out @Indigogh — an insanely talented, grounded, and humble homie based in Vancouver, with some enchanting-as-fuck projects in the pipeline.

He told me he'd listened to all of my mixes (high praise!) and especially loved a Jamaican dub mix I put out in 2022 (Gettin’ Irie in the Eddy). He asked for morning dubs for the people — and I felt well-equipped for the assignment.

It's that time of year again.. you know the drill. We have the urge to shift gears and our natural response to the change of the season is to slow. things. down. 

However - the hustle of the world and the society that we are supposed to associate with would like everything to happen all at once, and even add some more.

So, we are left in this place of being pulled in both directions, and it can really mess with our mental health. You would think by now we'd have it all figured out and have mastered the art of busy and slow simultaneously.. but nah, we don't. 

The only thing that can help me slow down in this spead up world? 

MUSEic. 

This is a letter that I write to you & I for when we are in those moments that feel like they are spiraling out of control. When we feel like everything is working against us. Let this be the fluid that helps us go with flow and remind us that everything is going to be alright. 

Because I needed this, and maybe you do too. <3

Schitzoph0nik is a non-binary (and genre fluid), DJ and Vocalist who specializes in funk and bass music, and whose focus is diversity and harmony. Mixing all sorts of styles of music together, and with a background of music theory in Jazz at VIU, and a love of Blues, Reggae, Ska, and Funk, the goal of this diverse musician has always been to blend the edges of many different musical worlds and try to bring people together through music and dance! The idea that emotion can be expressed to the audience through performance has always been at the forefront of this artist's mind, as they attempt to take you on a musical journey with their mixes.
