~Time for our little Q&A~

>>Who are you and where are you from?
I'm Kotoe, born in Japan, raised in Japan and based in Berlin.

>>When and how did you start your musical journey?
When I was 6, I started taking classes of japanese karaoke singing. With 18, I started a musical theater career for almost ten years and switched to electronic music in 2016. 

>>What do you like particularly about "slow" music?
All the spaces, rhythms and sounds that comes in between the 1 and the 2.

>>What inspired you while creating the set?
The beautiful landscape of Halkidiki in Greece, the Ethnik bar and the lift of the Corona restrictions after so long. 

>>What's your current favorite track or set?
Tribute from Last Waltz.

>>Which beautiful moment do you like to remember in association with electronic music?
The final song that I sung with Danilo Timm, my best friend, in Seebühne from Garbicz 2019. We both ended up in tears. haha.

>>What's your wish for the future nightlife?
That the dancefloor keep embracing a lot of people, being a safe space for who is in need to it.

Wir freuen uns sehr dieses wunderschöne Weihnachtsgeschenk machen zu können! Wir sind selbst ganz aus dem Häuschen, denn den Abschluss der diesjährigen Podcast-Reihe „Auf Zu Neuen Dächern“ macht das Duo „Xique-Xique“ aus Sao Paulo, Brasilien.

Inspiriert und auch beinflusst durch das Voodoohop-Kollektiv steht das Slow-Projekt von Dunwich & Biba Graeff für die brodelnde Alternativ-Szene Sao Paulo’s.
Hypnotische Melodien, organische Rhythmen und Deep-Grooves bestimmen das Set, dass uns von Xique-Xique hier zu Weihnachten geschenkt wird. Die Produktionen des Duo’s wurden unter Anderen von „Nicola Cruz“ geremixt und Ihre Veröffentlichungen erscheinen zumeist auf dem Label „The Magic Movement“.

Wir sagen Danke! An Xique-Xique, aber auch euch. Für dieses wunderschöne Jahr 2017.

For the 50th anniversary of our Serafin Sinfonia Series we are bringing you a special piece by kMIMIZAN . For her life is an ongoing wave oscillating between happiness and despair. This mix is a refuge for the lower points during this journey, a place of ease without any friction, its a „silk space of time“.

As the the morning sun's first rays hit the dew covered leaves, a shiver is going through the woods and like being thrown inside a mirror ball the forest begins to shimmer.

Like moving pictures the reflections of light skip and prance and when you listen closely there is a subtle rhythm to the sounds that ever so slighty begin to nurture the picture. 
And then there's a shadow hopping from a trunk. It scurries away and invites you to a game of hide and seek.

Don't fear anymore, just let yourself go, struppie will lead the way.
It is his forest after all.

Ein Gefühl, das sich allmählich, fast unbemerkt beginnend, in uns ausbreitet und verstärkt. Wie eine Blase, die uns aufsaugt und in der Tiefe der Nacht gefangen hält. Die uns erlaubt, zu träumen und nicht hinterfragt, wer oder was wir sind. Die sich stetig durch den Raum bewegt und eine Atmosphäre schafft, in der wir uns langsam, aber sicher im Tanzen verlieren.

A feeling that gradually, almost unnoticed, spreads and intensifies within us. Like a bubble that sucks us in and keeps us trapped within the depths of the night. That allows us to dream without questioning who or what we are. Moving steadily through space and creating an atmosphere in which we slowly but surely lose ourselves in dance.
